Good hockey trade in Domi for Anderson. Could work well for both teams and the RFAs.

I don’t totally understand trading Domi for a winger. Why do that if you’re Montreal?

I would laugh so hard at the canucks if Tyler Toffoli returned to the kings.

Canucks gave up madden and a 2nd round pick for 10 regular season and 7 play in games.

$3.9m for 4 years, and that's with an eastern team that still thinks it can win. The Kings would've had no shot.

From the Mayor

"Blake says they have a few depth moves they can look at via UFA. Also, depends how the RFA situation shakes out across the league in coming days".

Wonder who they would be looking at for depth in free agency?

With the flat cap, I think there’s gonna be several teams trying to trade good players in order to sign UFAs/RFAs. Maata is just the start of the opportunities available.

kings traded up to get the 45th overall for the 51st and 97th. the latter two are really one better because of AZ. Is that right?

Still don’t see how Rangers fans were so down on Andersson. That’d be like us being down on Vilardi. 21 is young as hell...

Look into the situation, there are some mental health issues that resulted in some pretty odd behavior. That behavior did not endear him to fans and actively hurt his relationship with Ranger management.

Andersson is a reclamation project, and he has to be on board with it.

WE HAVE TOO MANY GOOD PROSPECTS

Turcotte - Kopitar - Kaliyev
Fagemo - Byfield - Vilardi
Madden - Anderson-Dolan - Chromiak
Andersson - Thomas - Grundstrom

Bjornfot - Doughty
Faber - Grans
Anderson - Roy

...and Laferriere, Dudas, and Simontaival
...and Clague, Hults, Spence, Durzi, and Nousiainen
...and Brown, Carter, Frk, Iafallo, Kempe, Lizotte, and Wagner
...and Walker, Maatta, and MacDermid

goodness gracious ladies and gentlemen

I have to think that the defence to start the 20/21 season will be:

Björnfot - Doughty
Maatta - Walker
Anderson - Roy

They will the rotate in Clague and MacDermid. I just can’t see them giving either of those 2 guys 20 minutes per night on a regular basis which is why the other 3 are in the driving seat on the left as far as starting the season. Obviously a trade could also happen.

Upfront is more complicated and I think Byfield and Kaliyev will get a few games before going back to junior. So once things settle down it’s going to look something like:

Iafallo - Kopitar - Fagemo
Kempe - Vilardi - Frk
Andersson - Lizotte - Brown
Grundstrom - JAD - Carter - Wagner

Turcotte, Thomas will get AHL time before we make space for them in 21\22 but both will get a few NHL games this year . Grundstrom is now waiver eligible so will start the year in LA and can hopefully keep the spot with others breathing down his neck. I’m certain Browns role will diminish and someone like Fagemo (who i think plays both sides) will get a long look alongside Kopi. This is the year that we will see all sorts of experimental lines, trying to figure out who fits with who etc. I don’t see where Amadio fits this year and both Lizotte (who I like) and Wagner (who I’m not sold on) could be on the outside for 21/22. Obviously we lose someone in the expansion draft also. I’ll let someone tell me who I’m forgetting...

It’s going to be very interesting and we are going to argue plenty about who should sit, rage about who we waive and rant about why certain players are not called up.

Free agency starts at 9pm tonight?

I was a tweet with a quote from Blake that they have want to add to fill a hole but really have money next year.
a 1 year deal might be a tough sell

The signing period will begin at 12 p.m. ET tomorrow.

that is 9pm tonight here is Los Angeles

Really? I must admit I find am/pm to be confusing when talking about noon/midnight. I would assume they don't want to negotiate contracts all night, I assumed they meant noon tomorrow ET.

Wennberg not qualified. I would have interest in him in a one or two year prove me wrong deal for our 3rd line center. If he rekindles some magic trade him for assets at the deadline
