This, plus the fact there is no way in hell they trade him in the conference. Not worth the assets Calgary would want.

Yeah, I meant division. Was just gonna say that. Do they have the means to do it? You bet. Would they trade him in the division? Highly unlikely, and the price tag would be absurd.
This is a sign
This is what Ace of Base was talking about
Do all of you really want to put Tkachuk and Doughty together on the same team?
We'd end up with this.
I also woke up to a dream the Kings traded for Monahan, so maybe Tkachuk is close enough for the dream lol.
Never saw what they gave up though, but definitely had me checking my phone to see if I dreamt that or if it was real.
Danault sounds a lot like Jarret Stoll and his role with the Kings. I'll take it.
Matt Tkachuk wants out of Calgary supposedly
Make it happen Blake
Yep, just saw that Calgary will be in our division next season, which doesn’t make that much sense. So ya, Tkachuk would cost a lot…
Hell no on Eichel, the guy has a injury history thats not worth the assets Buffalo would want in exchange....
his percent of cap will be at least double what Stoll's was. So I wouldn't want him as the 3C.
If la is able to sign him I would want him as a #2C behind kopitar until QB is ready for that role.
For non significant picks sure, but not quality propects the organization hasn't placed in a number of NHL games first....If the guy's injury history is significant, he might be obtainable for CHEAP!!!
Not sure that's going to factor in at all. $5.5 a year is the equivalent of a nearly $4 million dollar a year raise based on Canadian to US dollars. The only two teams with any sort of tax advantage over the Kings would be Dallas or Florida. Dallas PROBABLY doesn't really fit the bill because they've got about $15 million to sign five players and their top 2 centers seem set. If the Kings go after him I figure FL, DET, OTT, CAR, BOS would also be making a run at him.Why exactly is that? We are in a flat cap environment, and at least 1/2-2/3 of the teams won't have room to even consider him. Stoll was also better offensively whereas Danault is an elite defensive center man. I think $5.5 mm us where he ends up salary wise with the only question being term. Given the CA tax situation, we are going to have to overpay, but this guy solves so many issues for the Kings that he is worth it. Imagine Kopitar only playing 17-18 minutes a night. Byfield never having to take a defensive zone start till he's ready for more responsibility. Being able to shut down the #1 center of our opposition nightly. Obviously, I'm biased by his play during the playoffs, but he seems to be the perfect fit.
Is it possible that you don't get it? That even you don't understand the point that you are try to make?
