JJ Peterka and Stutzle look good on Germany but that's about it. Stutzle with a little snarl out there in the 2nd (down now 10-1).

I think this is QB's 2nd full hockey game as an 18 year old. Lots of maturity and growth to go but man....having Zegras and Stutzle as LA Kings prospects if we picked them would of changed our offense for a decade.

All I can say is Byfield needs to give the coach a reason to play. He hasn't done that. He hasn't passed the eye test. He took a stupid penalty and has gotten pretty much benched. He's being outplayed by his teammates, not much else to say. He'll get better, but it's a tad concerning,at least short term.

Then I'd say garbage time with an 11 goal lead is the perfect time to get him out there to shake out the jitters and maybe even just to show a little mercy to this German team.

I don't think that penalty was the reason. Right now he's just a terrible hockey player. Kings may have made a huge mistake. They better hope its rust and growing pains.

I'm really hoping it's not an attitude problem or exhibiting petulant behavior behind the scenes, only way to justify not giving him a little sniff in this 3rd period.

Now, I'm a guy that thinks "never say never, anything and everything can happen in hockey," but can we get a mercy rule here?
