I don't mind the logo, not too sure how you would improve it. That said I'd know better when I see it.

On the bright side, if they go with Mammoth we can post this gif when they suck

I might be wrong but to me it's weird reading so many both posters and maybe journos seeing these mock jerseys and logos and understanding them as the real deal. Finished product ready to roll out after the fan vote.

In my mind, these logos and jerseys are just place holders or a general idea of what it might look like. Whichever get's picked will get worked on and then the actual jerseys and logo will be released. Nothing says it would be even close to these mock versions.

More and more I think that Wolverines would be a good name and could have a great logo for the team.

Are all three of those logos not literally lifted from the EA NHL video game team builder? If they’re not identical, they’re close enough as to be so extraordinary lazy I would believe it if you told me whoever they’re going to pay millions of dollars to to design their sweaters is literally just doing it in the video game.

That may very well be where they got them. They are meant to be placeholder to indicate the type of thing they are looking at as a logo if that name is chosen. That is, if Mammoth is chose n, the logo will be the head of a mammoth; if Outlaws is chosen, the logo will be the face out of an Old West outlaw; and s. Apparently, it's clearly stated on the ballots that these are placeholders.

One of the biggest issues is that they're married to the whole "Utah" thing. You could do so much more, alliteration- and name-wise, with "Salt Lake."

The state is helping fund the arena and that part is non-negotiable.

Some people have brought up the NLL Colorado Mammoths in this thread. I suspect Utah already has a deal in place with them o play for use of the trademark. After all, he much merchandising money does a NLL team make? It probably wouldn't take much for such a payment to be significant income for the Mammoths.

NLL salaries are lower than ECHL salaries. It's a part time, semi-pro league.
