I know Todd and the players don't like to look ahead, but I do.

Ideally, I'd like to see Tampa Bay beat Ottawa both games this week (tonight and Thursday, both in TB) and then we beat Seattle tonight and Tampa on Saturday. That would result in Tampa ahead of Ottawa for the wild card and the Wings would be 3rd in the Atlantic.

No jinxes.

Maybe Kane can carry the load having some time off compared to everyone else. Goalies have been the story imo on the road trip.

Need a bail-out game for them. Breaks coming soon, they gotta dig deep, drink lots of coffee and water. Wings roughed these guys up last meeting.

Wings, don't take your foot off that damn gas pedal and keep it floored! After the past 3 games, this one is a trap game for sure! No coasting, no looking ahead to getting back home and no puck and scoreboard watching. Playing f____g hockey and win games!

We have game tonight then Sat

Then the break for the 4 nations in season tourney. I am personally against this mid season tourney stuff. My team is on a roll and I really don't want to have a pause and see no value in the tourney. Wondering what happens if a McDavid or Matthews or "insert any other star" gets checked and gets injured and misses playoffs. Curious what the owner's reactions would be the next time the league proposes such a tourney.

Yeah nothing about this appeals to me and I doubt I'll watch any of it. There is no Olympic pedigree and you are removing the chance for big time upsets without any smaller hockey nations playing.

This just seems like a dumb idea that will condense the schedule and increase the chance of injury for good players. I would not be the least bit upset if Ray or Larkin got the "flu" and had to miss it.

I'm trying to be excited about it, but I was definitely thinking the same thing about Raymond and Larkin suddenly getting mild contusions keeping them out to get some rest
