Most blokes will be playing at 10.
Rod: "Why don't we work them out so hard that 10 is faster?
THEN crank them up to 11?"

Our speed goes all the way up to Jordan Staal speed.....
....wait a minute.
It’s the 21rst century, we may as well make them all captains. So it’s the day before the first preseason game, I wonder when we’re going to see an announcement made on new captain(s). Perhaps they’re waiting a little bit just to see what happens with Faulk.
Now that's one way to make a team play like ASS this yearC - Aho
A - Slavin
A - Staal
But Haula isn't listed thereNow that's one way to make a team play like ASS this year
I don't like reggae, oh noThis was an interesting comment by Rod. Maybe it's just coach speak for this point in camp, but interesting none the less.
Asked Monday if he liked what he has seen out of Necas in the first four days of training camp, Brind’Amour said, “No.”
Brind’Amour didn’t elaborate and then said more good things than bad about Necas, the 12th overall pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.
“He looks like he’s more mature,” Brind’Amour said Monday during his camp press conference. “He’s certainly more mature than he was last year on the ice. And off the ice he’s physically more mature. But again, we’ll see how it all comes together when he starts playing for real.”
The article also says he's up to 195 lbs.

It's Rod. Did/Would he answer "Yes" to the same question about anybody in camp?
I'm not reading THAT much into it.
For those who didn’t watch the video, the specific wording of the question was “have you seen what you wanted to see out of Necas?” And Rod said “in these four days? No.”
This directly after answering two or three questions in a row with “this is just practice, I’m not really looking too closely yet at individuals, we’ll see how they play in games.”
So, the article makes it a bit unclear but it wasn’t sinister at all.
FIRE BRIND'AMOUR
I'm not really sure what the heck you would see that would impress you or that you would like in practice. Like he said, games are where it's at, and even then, preseason will only tell so much. He also mentioned on a few occasions this offseason that he expected Necas to take the step to be on the team this year, so I doubt a few days changed his thinking. Just no reason to pump his tires from practice.
