No front runner at this stage?

You could make an argument for all three pretty easily.

Personally I'd start with the 19 year olds and go to Knight if they falter, but he has two more of these tournaments in his future. If he proves himself to be the best of the three however, then by all means play him.

I'd start with:

Keyser
Primeau
Knight

Tyler Madden on Jack Hughes' wing at the scrimmage. Is he considered a fringe guy or do you guys expect him to make the team?

I think Wahlstrom will have a short leash up front. And Keane is as close to a lock as it gets on the back end

Goalscorers are streaky, that is just how it goes. Unfortunately in a short tournament Coaches don't have the time to let a player find a groove.

Heck, McKinnon had a garbage World Junior in terms of production. Also, nice dig of the Isles guy and pump of the Rangers', but I'm sure no one noticed...

If you read all my posts you would find that I am on Wahlstrom’s side and think he will be completely fine. Right now I am cheering him on as an American prospect, not an Isles one.

I think Walhstrom is a really important player for this team and a lot of the tournament might actually hinge on him scoring for the USA. Hes been bad in the NCAA but if he finds that form he had with the program it could be scary. He doesnt do much besides score though and its like you said in a short tourney if he ends up demoted down the line up, goals are going to have to come from guys that I wouldnt expect a lot of scoring from.

I actually thought of one. Impressive!

The Galchenyuks; Father in 1986 for the Soviet Union and the son in 2013 for the USA.

Also a byproduct of when this started. With 1977 as the beginning of this officially you missed a few that would have likely made up the answer to this question. For instance the Parise family would likely feature on this list, but JP didn't have this tournament to play in though we have to believe he would have made the Canadian roster if it existed and would have had a decent chance at winning.

I wasn't trying to make a definitive list. I actually thought of one. You've just named one that SHOULD have happened.
