At the same time, 4 years and college and a couple in the AHL — and all of a sudden it’s 2025. If a kid like this makes it at 24 it’s young.

Hopefully can get some international experience with the US nat. team.

24?

Yeah I’m not sure I’d quite put him on the six year plan.

Happy to see that Gorton is staying true to taking BPA like he said. These two D are probably 3 years away at least, anyways. Keeping the pipeline stocked with D will keep us competitive for a long time, look at Nashville for example.

Prior to Henriksson we had not drafted a forward in rounds 2-3-4 since Ryan Gropp. And you wonder why we have way more defensive prospects than forward prospects.

I'm going to make my generic statement again: Remember a lot of LHD now will be different in 2022 or 2023. A lot of these kids will be used as part of packages to acquire rentals for Cup runs.

Robertson was the safer pick, but one who fit with the desire to get the puck out of the zone and to someone who could create something on the other end.

The two picks since are about upside. Those are ceiling picks.

Eh, there will be moves at some point. But some or these kids will be in a very different waves.

Not just roster wise, but cap wise. This is an extreme example, but the Preds traded Subban partially because they feel confident backfilling with Fabbro.

Probably not but thats what people said at 49 and 68 so you never know. He was only ranked 83 by McKenzie/TSN.
I wanted to draft Dorofeyev and/or Fagemo today. Big upside. But cannot complain, seems like we have got some nice players so far.
