Yes, but still a might anticlimactic.
We had a 5% chance of moving up. Of course we’re all pissed it didn’t happen. You do realize Fan is short for Fanatic, right?
Of course I understand fan is short for fanatic. I’ve been a fan of this team from day 1. Hell, look at my sign up date on this site. I’m not a f***ing idiot.

Get a grip on reality and realize we didn’t stand a chance of moving up. Any true fan would know this and temper expectations.

Gun to your head:

1. 14 for Zucker [Y/N]
2. 14 for Kessel [Y/N]
3. 14 for Hoffman [Y/N]

This question is for the whole forum.
I'd like to think that we could package up a lower draft pick and Fischer for Zucker or Hoffman.

I think there's a play for Goligoski + deal for Kessel. Is the plus 14OV?

I'm not discounting any of these to be honest. I'm even open to dropping down 5-10 slots and picking up additional picks which we then flip in the deals you've posted above.

To further the Tomasino vs McMichael debate it should be noted that Tomasino is a RHS and is 7months younger. However, he was fifth in team scoring in Niagra while McMichael was first in team scoring in London.
The most attractive part of Mc!icheal at this point in time is he plays in London. He's about as safe of a pick that's out there. Vanilla prospect. Decent but not a top liner.

Didn’t someone once determine that we’d have been better off historically taking the best London player available at our pick (given appropriate range) than we have been actually scouting and making decisions?

Florida beat reporter seems to think the Panthers are looking for a veteran defensive D in return for Hoffman.

Can we classify Goligoski as "defensive"? He was like 13th in blocked shots after all.

Our new head scout also has significant ties to London.

No. Quenneville is obsessed with Hjalmarsson, though. It was a big part of his falling out in Chicago. He was pissed about the trade. Scary stuff. I don’t want to lose Hjammer.

It's not like Edmonton won. Happy for Jersey and Chicago. Meh on the Rags, but whatever.
Happy for Jersey? Two 1OA in three years. That's Edmonton territory. Chicago? They have had their share of luck with Kane and Toews. Has there been a team more unlucky than the Coyotes. They say you make your own luck and I don't know many teams that trade away a 7OA, 3OA and a 12OA within two years, and now there is talk by some to trade this pick. But on the bright side, we have flash and dash so who cares if we win as long as we are entertaining.:sarcasm:

What’s the most hipster thing Chayka could do at 14th? Moritz Seider I guess. Right? It’s going to be Moritz Seider.
I actually had a dream last night that we won the lotto, and I was involved in the discussion on who to take. We turned down an offer to trade down to three (Burke was on the phone. I know he's not a GM today), and that was fine. Wasn't a particularly great offer. Then Chayka wanted Seider 1 ov and everyone in the room was uncomfortable, and trying to suggest other names. We finally got him to consider Kakko (he kept saying Ekko), but he wanted no part of Hughes. I felt sick to my stomach. So I help convince him to at least trade down to three, and then we have more time to talk him out of Seider and atleast get something to move down. And he's trying to get Burke back on the phone and we're all panicked because there is only 45 seconds left on the clock, and we've got to complete a trade.
And then I woke up literally sick to my stomach with angst.

No more late night pizza for me.

We weren't winning the lotto. Why are people so upset that we didn't win or that someone else did?

New Jersey needs help. Chicago got a bump up of nine spots. So what? The league is better when those two are healthy again. It's not even close to Edmonton territory. You cannot even see the shores of lottoland from there.
