We really have too many 2nd and 3rd line players.
I disagree. If everyone is healthy then you can rotate, or just rest whoever isn't producing.

Man...I was so hoping that Chayka could land him at the draft.Caufield.
DeBrincat scored his 40th last night.
For me it’d beOut of the 3 I go:
1. Caufield
2. Krebs
3. Kaliyev
With that, Krebs is not going to be available to us in that 12-20 range. He will be drafted by someone before he gets too close to our pick. Dude is a rock star in the making and I only have Caufield ahead of him because I want a prolific goal scorer and we stand a better chance of getting that with Caufield.
I think with all the injuries we had this year shows that our AHL talent and our NHL isn't too far apart. We need top end talent, how to get it is another story. That's basically the same as this year though. If someone misses significant time again we're ****ed.
I mean if we're adding distance and true draft position relative to one another, yeah that's probably about right. I'd be happy with Krebs. As for where we stand today and the likely availability of players, Caulfield 100%. Also helps Caulfields case that he's a sniper with a motor. If he were 5'11+ he'd be a top 10 pick at the rate he's scoring. For me it’d be
1. Krebs

3. Kaliyev
He’s just a buzzsaw out there. If he wasn’t Russian I would guarantee he goes at 3. Because of signability issues he could drop to teens.I think Podkolzin won't go #3, but he should. He is terrific and will not be coming off my top 3 list.

No bad motors. Ever. The league is for the swift. (insert Jerry Moyes joke here.) I want speed and more speed. We need goals so bad. Caufield and Kaliyev both have a good chance at being there when we pick. Two best goal scorers in the draft. Do you take the 5’7 guy or the guy with a bad motor?
I would be leary of Caufield ... I think we have enough small guys ... ( however if he can score at our level more power to him ) But I doubt he would be scoring in our current system / coaching staff
What about Pavel Dorofeyev ?
Boldy ?
should we grab Arthur Kaliyev early ?
I am thinking only about where we likely end up picking .. obviously not lottery ( yeah right )
Is it true that Bold went cold when he was bumped down the lineup?I definitely wouldn't mind Boldy.
I’ve watched a couple of Brink’s USHL games. I worry about Brink’s overall quickness, given his lack of size. I’d take a chance on him, but maybe not so high in the draft. His linemate Marcus Kallionkieli has a real dynamic quality to his game. I’d definitely take a look at him with our 2nd or Chicago’s 3rd. Again, I’m talking about a two game sample size.Is it true that Bold went cold when he was bumped down the lineup?
We need guys that create offense, not more passengers. Brink for example is the driver on his team and also the finisher. I'll take one of those please.
Then I hope he gets a knee injury after going inexplicably cold and is awful in interviews and drops to 15... Or we move up a few spots with our second or one of our Brassard thirds. He’s just a buzzsaw out there. If he wasn’t Russian I would guarantee he goes at 3. Because of signability issues he could drop to teens.
Were they hammered drunk or just mostly shitfaced when they wrote that?Jack Hughes could be next McDavid, Central Scouting says
NHL Central Scouting is comparing Hughes to McDavid and Eichel
