Ran simulations approx 100 times. Montreal moved into the top 3 4 times, we moved into the top 3 4 times, got 2nd twice.

Oh yes it can. Luckily for Montreal they're the only team that can jump ahead of us, so they are bound to win the lottery.

Florida has sucked the last couple of years because of coaching. Barkov, Huberdeay and Ekblad all top three picks.They have had their share of top end picks. Not trying to be a homer, but nobody deserves this more than the Yotes. If I had to choose, I guess it would be Florida. Like you said a Sunbelt team.

Really hope Chayka can sign Chiodo with the Ottawa 67's this year, been a big fan of his the past few years regardless of his size. Hard worker and skilled. Will take a couple years in the AHL likely, but should be a solid player.

Thinking about the lottery on Tuesday. It will be nice to have our fate decided so quickly into that agonizing process. The first two cards revealed by Daly will tell the whole story.

If the Coyotes head is on the first card, Montreal has won a top three pick and we’ve moved down a spot.

If the Coyotes head is on the second card, we’ve stayed put.

If some team other than the Coyotes has their logo on that second card pulled, we’ve won a top three pick.

At least we will know quickly. It was misery when we were to be one of the last cards pulled regardless of winning or losing.

The first card pulled could be some team other than Montreal and other than Arizona. Meaning that both Montreal and Arizona have won a top three pick.

Can you imagine if Daly pulls the first card and its Florida?
