OT: 2019 Football Thread: Part IV – More like the "Football Thread", amirite?

Absolutely fantastic how that worked out. Tremendous. You got a guy you could have seriously taken at 48, but got him ten picks later while acquiring another pick.

Also nice to have a GM who doesn't think he's smarter than everyone, and can make the logical f***ing pick sitting right in front of him.

What a difference boys to have someone who knows what the F he's doing. I just knew Douglass was the right guy for the Jets. The guy studied under the best GM of the past 20 years in Ozzie Newsome. He spent time in Philly with Roseman. Douglass was ready for this moment.

I'm so stoked....We got a starting OT and starting WR. Now we have 3 3rd round picks. We need a CB, edge rusher and I would have no problem whatsover if Douglass saw another OLineman or WR he likes. But man, so far this draft has gone as good as you could have possibly hoped for....:)

God am i f***ing jealous of you guys with competent GMs. Meanwhile Gutekunst is over here drafting a QB and then a RB while completely ignoring positions that are actual f***ing needs

It's so funny.....none of us still have any real idea yet what to think about Adam Gase as the jury is still out on him and he's coached now 4 years in the NFL.

Yet Joe Douglass, I have no reservations whatsoever about and he's only been a GM for not even a year. That's some funny ass shit. We got ourselves a good one boyz. I dont know how we managed to pull it off but we did.

I know we paid alot of money for him but it's not my money...lol

If Josh Jones is there you could totally take him. It would be a great value. You can probably grab some of the other interesting names with the next pick.

Are you talking last year? This year if I'm completely honest, I kind of like what Gettleman has done. Thomas is one of the best OLineman available. Maybe he could have slipped to the Jets at 11 but it's not crazy to take him at 4.

And the 2nd round pick McKinnley was probably the best safety in the draft and you got him at 36 overall. That's not too shabby.

I get the reputation Gettleman has of being smartest guy in the room but so far this draft, I dont' see how any Giant fan can complain....he's addressing needs.

For the Giants it's like that but in reverse for me. I'm conflicted with DG but Judge I'm convinced will be a successful head coach. It might not be here like with BB, but somewhere. The guy is extremely bright, detail-oriented, and it appears an amazing leader.

Yeah, I always tell people "let's see how it all plays out first", so maybe I should heed my own advice here.
