I'm not necessarily saying you're wrong, but they just as easily could have had Martavis Bryant instead of Evans or Saunders. And then they got Enunwa in the sixth. There's plenty of talent in rounds 2-4, Idzik's issue was just that he always seemed to take the wrong guy.

I think you wait until 48 and see who is there. If the top CB is better than the top WR, you take the CB. Or, vice versa. And go from there.

I also don't trade up. Douglas is addressing the depth concerns but we still have too many holes to fill in this draft and cut down period. We need all of our assets. I could live with giving up a 5, 6, or 7, but I have no interest in giving up a 2, 3, or 4. No one on the board moves the needle enough for me to want to give that up.

You're not wrong, Idzik was a terrible talent evaluator. I guess for me the offense has been ignored for so long my mind is saying you gotta go with one of these guys in the 2nd. I'm also really high on Mims and Pittman.

There is a ton of talent left though, I agree there's no point in trading up. Let the talent drop.

Mims is the only guy I would halfway be okay about a trade up. There's so much depth still left and so many holes still on the team.

I feel so much better about who our leader is as well. I said th.is a few times and it deserves repeating. I get a "Jeff Gorton" vibe from him. Last year or any other season I'd be nervous as crap that we would F this pick up we got at 48. Not this year. I'm confident Douglass will do the right thing. That's a very odd feeling being a Jet fan....lol

2nd round is not really going the Jets way. I'm shocked Pittman went so soon. When he went at 34, I was honestly a bit pissed as I really wanted him.

I think I'm with ya, if Mims who is the last WR in this tier is taken, I think Douglass needs to look elsewhere. I'd be a bit tempted in Diggs but I think maybe we do go for CB.
