I’m happy with the Jets pick. Guy will probably turn out to be a heroin addict but for now it’s all good.

hope they grab a WR tonight. There’s a bunch of good ones left.

I want WR and CB tonight.

There are about next to zero WRs left in free agency that would make an impact. Outside of Crowder, I don't have any expectations for the WR group as constructed. Perriman was a high pick, but outside of a few games in Tampa at the end of the season, which is an unreal offense under Arians, he's has never really produced. Enunwa can't be expected to be anything anymore. Vyncent Smith, Josh Bellamy, and Berrios? The WR corps needs nearly a complete overhaul.

Higgins would be a good pick. Big body, not a burner, but a nice red zone target, but not sure he'll make it to them.

Wonder if they'll check in with Carolina on Curtis Samuel

They signed Anderson, so maybe he can come back the other way. Not sure what kind of draft capital would need to be used to get it done, but I would not be opposed, especially if guys they are looking at are gone by their picks.

EDIT: 1 year from UFA, so it might be a low pick to get him.

If we don’t take at least one WR tonight I’m straight up commiting sudoku.
Douglas, to me, has shown he understands the needs of the team and will do what he can to address them. I'm confident in him.

And if we can't add an edge prospect, I'll assume it's because Douglas thought the ones available weren't worth the pick. And then that he will try to address the need some other way.

reports coming out that Dougie is willing to trade up in the 2nd to get a WR they want. Hope its true and hope we get the guy. I'll feel so much better about our offense.

I’m hoping Higgins or Pittman Jr make it to the Jets pick. Darnold sorely needs another weapon and I’m not confident in Perriman.

I also wouldn’t mind CB, OL, Edge, or another WR with the 2 3rds. Plenty of holes so go BPA with an emphasis on those spots.

I wouldn’t be absolutely against a RB either... this offense just needs playmakers.

Hoping the Jets don't overdraft Van Jefferson tonight, you want to take him tomorrow as your 2nd WR drafted, fine, but he's going to enter camp at 24 years old already, don't do his Dad a favor tonight because he is one of your coaches.

Surprised McKinney fell to the 2nd round. Not necessarily a need for the Jets, but BPA for sure.

Pittman, Mims and Higgins could be there for the Jets. Possibly Gross-Matos too. Interesting middle rounds ahead of us!!

I have a feeling Jets will grab a CB in the 2nd, then take a WR or two in the 3rd.

I think they gotta go WR in the 2nd. Get a top guy. Idzik waited the last time the WR class was deep and we got Shaq Evans and Jalen Saunders. I hope they go WR twice and OT/RB with the 3 picks tonight. Sam deserves it.

Getting a guy like Mims or Pittman will go further than a CB.

Maybe. Jaylon Johnson, Trevon Diggs and Kristian Fulton are still available....

My guess if it's not WR (because Mike Pittman, Laviska Shenault, Denzel Mims and Tee Higgins are all still there), it'll be Edge. A lot of good ones still there; Yetur Gross-Matos, Marlon Davidson, Bradlee Anae, and Curtis Weaver.

Fun times ahead!!

I'm not necessarily saying you're wrong, but they just as easily could have had Martavis Bryant instead of Evans or Saunders. And then they got Enunwa in the sixth. There's plenty of talent in rounds 2-4, Idzik's issue was just that he always seemed to take the wrong guy.

I think you wait until 48 and see who is there. If the top CB is better than the top WR, you take the CB. Or, vice versa. And go from there.

I also don't trade up. Douglas is addressing the depth concerns but we still have too many holes to fill in this draft and cut down period. We need all of our assets. I could live with giving up a 5, 6, or 7, but I have no interest in giving up a 2, 3, or 4. No one on the board moves the needle enough for me to want to give that up.
