OT: 2019 Football Thread: Part IV – More like the "Football Thread", amirite?

I'm with ya....Davis might be the guy who Douglass see's either replacing Mayes cause he only has one year left on his deal or if and I hope this doesn't happen but let's say Adams and Jets don't get their shits together and Douglass needs to deal him. Well we have an insurance policy. That's what I think is going on. Douglass knows more than he's revealing about Adams negotiations....hmmmm.

I'm reading about him...it seems like peeps like him....he looks fast as heck and very athletic. I'm reading he may be switched to Corner which is bigtime need for us.

Listen...it's the same way I felt about Gorton when he started his tenor as Ranger GM and it's IN JOE I TRUST!!....lol

I'm going to have faith that Douglass loves this kid and that's good enough for me until proven wrong.

I think your on the right track here with Judge. Been reading alot about Judge and tho he seems a bit arrogant, he's not like Patricia type arrogance. So far Gettleman hasn't done anything wrong so far.

As I mentioned to Joey Bones...I think this pick has alot to do with the fact that one or the other...Adams or Mayes won't be here too much longer. It's insurance and from what I'm reading, Davis was considered a late 2nd round pick.

So far Joe hasn't failed us...so it's In Joe We Trust...:)

I'm not saying he's not arrogant, he might be, but I haven't really gotten that vibe.
 
No idea who Douglass takes here. I'd have no problemo if he doubles up and goes WR or OLine. I just don't know.

One thing I do know is that whoever Douglass picks, it's probably the right one...lol
 
So what would you guys rate the Jets draft so far?

I'll go first:

I'd give the Becton pick a solid B+ as Sam should have his LT protector for hopefully the next decade

I'd give the Mims pick an A+ considering they could have got him at 48 and instead got him at 59 while adding a 3rd rounds pick...simply a brilliant move by Douglass

I'd give the Davis pick a B. Solid insurance in case Adams or Mayes goes. One of them won't be with us after this year so this is solid insurance and he could play Corner for us.

I'd give the Zuniga pick a C+. I don't know much about him but from what I read, it sounds a tad like our Politte pick last year. The only thing that makes me feel better about it is that its Douglass this time who took him. Seeing I trust Douglass, this pick could be better than a C+ but for now this is what it is.

So overall I'd give the Jets draft a solid B+. I think it's pretty obvious Douglass not suprisingly knows what he's doing as the Jets for first time in forever it seems, have a guy who we can trust knows what he's doing and is not going to F up!.

So I'm going B+ so far...what say you?
 
I wouldn’t mind Fromm with a day 3 pick. Good character guy - might develop into a solid backup. I’m half expecting to end up in NE but Belichick probably has an off the radar guy in mind.

BPA to finish off the 3rd round.

Shucks... Duvernay would’ve been nice at 101. I wouldn’t even mind a TE.

B for Becton
A for the trade and Mims
B for Davis, warmed to it after initially made
C- for Zuniga, just ehh

With last pick for us in the 3rd, I'm doubling down on WR and pouncing, if I'm Douglass for either Gandy-Golden and if he's gone, I'd go People-Jones.

We do this, I'm sleeping like a baby tonight as Jets would have done a phenomenal job after 3 rounds.
