Wtf? How could a working relationship break down that quickly to begin with? Dysfunction starts at the top. Same old Jets.

That's the correct next move, to fire Gase. The Johnson's should have fired Gase too. Let Williams coach the team this season.
“I think they’re in a pretty good spot,” Jeremiah said of the Jets during a Thursday conference call with reporters. “If the question is ‘what would I do?’ then I would take Quinnen Williams and I wouldn’t turn back. I would pair Quinnen Williams with Leonard Williams. And I think you’ve [then] not only got guys that can rush a little bit, you’ve got guys that can hold the point of attack — in a division with a Patriots team that’s become increasingly interested in running the football. You’ve got something to hold up inside, and I think he’d be a great fit.
“Who impacts the game the most out of all those [three] guys? I would still stick with Quinnen, because I think he impacts the game on every single down.”
Tell me about Lee IMMEDIATELY Jets fans pls
Cool, we need any decent LB we can get.Undersized linebacker. He’s adequate but nothing special. Pissed they settled on a 6th rounder for him.
Eh, I don't understand giving Darron Lee away for a 6th round pick, but whatever.
The tantrum Manish has had today because he lost his source has been the highlight of the day.

A 6th is actually a good deal.Lee sucks. Small, not good against the run, barely passable in coverage. Not an overly physical player. Maybe some character concerns. Foregone conclusion he was gone this winter.
A sixth is fine. He was a likely backup here, and we'll probably sign too many guys next year to even get a comp pick for him when he's gone. I don't know what you guys were reasonably expecting for a weak player on his way out.
Seriously. You had a player who:A 6th is actually a good deal.
Seriously. You had a player who:
a) was mediocre at best
b) was walking at the end of the year
c) everyone knew we wanted to dump
I'm not seeing a huge market for that, particularly considering he's already had a suspension and was also involved in that incident with the girlfriend and Leo Williams (which, granted, turned into nothing...but still). Couple that with the likelihood we wouldn't even get a comp pick for him, and it was a no brainer. Sure, a 4th or 5th would have been nice, but I don't think that offer was out there.

Yeah Snacks is a legit, dominant, run-stuffer and space-occupier and has been for years. Lee was a decent LB for one year and crap for two years.Considering the Giants only got a 5th for Snacks, I still am kinda pissed Lee brought back a 6th. One guy is actually pretty damn good.
