I really do wonder what Holland does if Podkolzin is on the board. Is he okay leaving him in the KHL for 2 seasons or is he wanting a guy he can start grooming after 1?

Are the other forwards at that spot really going to come over any sooner? Im not too worried about it. If for some reason Holland thought he was ready, I'm sure if an NHL team wanted him on the roster, Podkolzin would come over.

I think it was more getting him adapted to the NHL game. Teams often worry with Russian prospects that I'd they stay over too long and aren't get auto NHL time, they just don't come over.

Fair. If we draft him top 10, yikes. Our Euro scouting has been abysmal for a decade and there has been zero proof it's gotten any better.
