When a player who the previous three seasons had a shooting% of 7.52 is currently shooting a career high 18.52%.....you’ve gotta spend assets to acquire him. It’d be pure madness to not acquire him.



Seriously though, knowing Fletcher, he’ll trade an unprotected 1st for Pageau or even a 2nd that could become a conditional 1st if they make it to the 2nd RD of the playoffs or something. Ya know, to make it worthwhile to the other GM. Gotta make sure you’re buddy is happy when making a deal....instead of being a pit viper and fleecing the shit out of em.

Well forget that wonderful playoff run...

Lyon almost has to play this weekend vs Pit or Col. Maybe they try to play Moose back to back and pray he don't explode. And then go with Lyon against Det. But I doubt that is a good plan.
 
That f***ing sucks about Hart !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good about Raffl and Ghost, but sadly we prob have to go Elliot back to back vs Pens and Avs,,,, #Yikes
 
Match up wise against Pittsburgh with the Penguins having last change, not bringing up Frost probably makes some sense. I'd hate to see him have to go against Crosby or Malkin shift after shift. Bunnaman, with his size, can at least lean into Malkin for a while.

Classic Flyers would be to kill Moose with a back to back leaving us to roll with Lyon/Berube for the next week.

That scenario only makes sense if Fletcher was the only GM interested in Pageau. Which is to say, it makes no sense at all.

This logic makes sense only if you would rather have them going after Bunny, which shouldnt be your logic.

Sullivan would go full Zeke Elliott on AV using Crosby or Malkin with either Frost or Bunny up tomorrow. So whatever...

Actually the key for tomorrow night is no stupid icings and that's on the players not the coaches.
 
There have been more than enough quotes from Fletcher & Flahr, plus his extraordinarily sheltered zone starts in the NHL by AV, to explain why Frost isn’t up right now.

Especially to explain why he wasn’t the callup on the road against Pittsburgh with the Pens having last change.

His play away from the puck & his pace haven’t been consistent enough in the AHL or NHL. He’s still working on paying attention to details & breaking bad habits caused by being used to dominating weaker competition.

They also don’t want to call him up just to play 7 minutes on the 4th line when he can be working on his game in important minutes in the A.

It’s not like Fletcher has shown to be reluctant to call up kids. Quite the opposite. Frost got one look. And he’ll likely get another one before the season is out.

I’ll add that with 0 goals & 2 assists in his last 5 AHL games, it’s not like he was banging the door down for a callup tomorrow.

Ugggh goaltending situation sucks with all these back to backs. I’d go Lyon against Pitt and Elliot against the avs.

Disappointing no news on Patrick. I was hoping he’d be back at practice after the break.

He is better than Bunny. Playing the better player is the smarter move every time.

Nobody has argued he is the number 1 center. When you have to lie about what others are saying, it indicates your position is crap and doesn't stand on its own.
 
Lyon started playing for the Phantoms in 2016.

If by this point he can’t play a sliver of games in the NHL and provide a competent/average performance, I don’t know what kind of development is going on down there - and why the hell they are wasting their time with him.
