Maybe Turcotte should have become a Sun Devil!!Mass exodus from Wisconsin continues with Dhooghe leaving for ASU.
Can't wait to see Turcotte away from there now.
Depends on when they find a viable vaccine. The slowest part of most trials is patient recruitment and that won’t be an issue here. They should be able to run the trial relatively quickly using the same approach as the annual ‘flu vaccine. It’s a relatively short illness so once a substance hits phase 3, it’s game on.The worse things get economically, the more they'll alienate fans if the two sides squabble. There might not be fans in the seats until they get a vaccine of some kind, which is likely the next calendar year.
It sounds to me like any existing drug which lowers the viral load to the point where someone's immune system can finish killing the virus has to be considered as a treatment at this point. There is really a need to find the one which works as the best prophylactic for health care workers and those who are at higher risk.Depends on when they find a viable vaccine. There are all sorts of treatment studies in progress. One is even looking at Viagra as a treatment. There are loads of trials studying the virus so they can better understand the risk factors and so on. The Pharmaceutical sector is definitely seems to be looking at every possible angle.
Not sure why people got mad about that story. I thought it was hilarious.A little more context from The Athletic on that Iafallo - Carter drone delivery:
"“He actually said he tried to send me a beer,” Carter said, chuckling. “But it was too heavy for a drone, so he switched to toilet paper. But I think toilet paper made for a better video. I had no idea what was in it at first. We just started cracking up when we saw it was toilet paper.”"

I didn't "get mad", I just said I thought it was in poor taste given the circumstances. A couple things that I know are really hard to believe these days:People got mad about the story? People really are losing their minds.
Does anyone have any interest in signing Joel Edmundson this offseason? He plays LD, he's big (6'4"), he's young (26), and he has Cup-winning experience with the Blues last year. He seems like he's just been the odd man out on two deep bluelines in St. Louis and Carolina.
Not sure he's an upgrade over Hutton, but figured I'd float it out there.

Given the uncertainty around the cap, there might not be many teams that could offer him a contract. Kings might be able to get him at a decent price.it would probably take an overpayment but if there's a team that can afford to outbid anyone its us

Doubt he'd sign a 1 yr deal like Hutton did, but it's definitely worth investigating. Even if they brought Hutton back, they should still try to add a vet on LD. Having a LD of smallish kids and MacD isn't a great plan, especially when your RD is smallish.
I think if we want to keep it short 4@$4.75 would be ok, if he waqnts 5 years then 5@$4.5 as you've writtenI'd be interested in locking Edmundson up long-term and letting Hutton walk. Edmundson has proven plenty, and I think he's an ideal candidate to be a #3-4 defenseman moving into the future for the reasons you mentioned and others have above. He has size, he's a low-mistake puck mover who skates well, he plays LD and matches well with our projected crop, and he's young enough to grow with our youth movement.
He makes a bit over $3M/yr now; do we think 4 years @ 4-4.5M would get it done? I'd honestly be willing to give 1-2 more years too, don't have any qualms about a player like him at 31-32 years old, especially on defense.
NBCSN is replaying game 5 against the Rangers with commentary from Stoll, Lewis, Martinez and Eddie Olczyk. Very interesting stuff to hear it from the players.
