No way, I have been there many, many times and had no idea Clarke's family owned it.

As a side note, when Viva Madrid first opened up just down the street they used to have a TV above the bar and I would stop by after work to grab a bowl of oxtail stew (maybe a sangarita or two) and catch the 2nd and 3rd periods of road games. The bartender was a fan, and that was the only time I ever saw them use that TV.

My wife and I go diving a lot in the bay islands off the coast of Honduras. On the island of utila, there was a bar called ‘Rehab’ at the end of a pier (with 12 steps painted on it). We asked the bartender if he could put the kings game on one of the TVs and he got excited and started asking us a bunch of questions primarily about 1993. Turns out, he was lee odelein, brother of lyle, who played for montreal at the time. He gladly put the game on and we chatted for a bit. Just learned he has died, and the bar is no more.

Oh no. I knew Lee a little, he played for my local team here in the UK where he got blindsided, ending his career. Gutted, he cannot have been very old at all. so sad.

I’ll say this once, as it’s my wheelhouse, and I’m being asked by everyone who knows me. Re: Coronavirus stats and hysteria, it’s garbage- all of the data is wrong. This is my field/world- I’ll explain what’s really in play.
This virus is not new.
(2) It’s been all over the world for at least 6 mos to a year after it made the zoonotic leap from animal to human host (thanks to China’s eating practices and poor handling of live animals). That said, they only ID’d the RNA sequence in December and kept quiet about it.
(3) It was spread worldwide well before it was identified! They only can test for it now because the sequence was ID’d. They didn’t/couldn’t before. Think about it. How many hundreds of thousands traveled through around and through China since August? It’s a bad chest cold.Period
(4)Quarantining NOW is RIDICULOUS! It’s already everywhere! If you took a sampling in every major city of 1000 people that had a cough and fever sometime since August, I GUARANTEE you there would be positives EVERYWHERE, but they only test incoming from abroad!
(5) Huge epidemiological failure. The stats are are all FALSE. They rest on 2 faulty premises. 1) That China told the world the second they saw their first flu-like case that tested negative for flu (there is no way) and 2) that they have even a clue of worldwide number exposed.
(6) Without X (total exposed or total that traveled through before it was ID’d ) you cannot determine virulence or mortality rate. Simple epidemiology. The closest thing to accurate insight to statistics like this is in a closed, controlled system. Take a cruise ship for example
(7) It is a finite/closed system. All on board exposed - that would be X m, percentage of of exposed testing positive is about 20%- those critically ill or died= mortality rate (which is about 0.1%) one can also gleen similarities in demographic of those who died- in this case,
(8)kids under 15 have been asymptomatic (no signs of illness), moderately healthy people are either asymptomatic, or present with cough or congestion and elderly or immunocompromised have shown to have more serious symptoms or lung sequalae.
(9) Looking at the stats from the patients in a closed off cruise ship is FAR more representative of true statistics than pissing in the wind across the globe, as I said as those stats are literally based on 2 inaccurate premises. The bottom line is-
(10) just because the RNA sequence has finally been ID’d whereby allowing to confirm exposure and infection, doesn’t mean the virus appeared that second. It takes a long time to do that..... how many have traveled worldwide before this epiphany occurred... (11) ...knowing most people don’t go to the Doc for a chest cold?
In my opinion, this is a globalist push to quell populist notions and take protestors off the street all while tanking Trump’s economy. WHO/CDC/NIH politicized organizations.
(12) The HK protestors are quiet, the anti Iranian regime protestors- controlled..... use your brains and turn off the hysteria!

These things do tend to be overblown, but when this is over, if it's not as bad as feared, it doesn't mean people were just spreading hysteria. If it's not as bad as feared, it may mean that people listened, washed their hands more, avoided mass crowds, self quarantined when instructed, etc.

Solid information on the statistics, so thanks. The mortality rate initially reported was obviously sensationalized blather by the media.

I think people of working age should continue to work. In my opinion the people who are most at risk should try to socially distance themselves. Common sense is required. Don't go visit your 70-something+ grandparents when you are sick, or have been exposed to someone who is sick.

Everyone eat healthier foods, get enough sleep, try to reduce your stress as you watch your 401(k) go down by 30%+.

I have worked with Chinese companies, and yeah they and the Chinese government lie.

says some anonymous blogger

So for the folks who are gripping and angry that the Kings are winning "meaningless" games (spoiler alert every single game is meaningless if they only mean something while being in playoff contention) instead of tanking the right way, let's remember back in the 2007-2008 season when the Kings hit rock bottom. If you recall, they were also among the oldest teams in the league. They were old AND bad. Lombardi then stated that his plan was to get better, while also getting younger. That was the key to success. So every year after that, the Kings got better AND younger until it was time to cash in the chips for veterans and a chance at the Cup. The Kings were still among the top 5 youngest teams in the league just after winning the 2012 Cup. That's the model if the dominoes fall correctly.

Last season, the Kings were tied for being the oldest team in the league and were the second worst team in the league. So Blake starts trading vets last season like Muzzin, Hagelin, Fantenberg and Thompson for picks and prospects. Bring in McClellan with a new system, sign a few younger role players like Hutton and Lizotte who may or may not just be bridge players (Lizotte is a keeper). Even though the team still stinks, they're improved based on the system alone. Now say goodbye to Kovi, Toffoli, AMart, Campbell and Clifford and call up kids who have been marinating in the pipeline while increasing the role of the younger roster players. The team is kicking ass now and it's getting younger. Last night's lineup, which is basically the same lineup they've been trotting out for this stretch of winning hockey, only Kopi, Brown, Lewis and Drew are over 26 years old. Sub in Quick as another older guy, but has been lights out recently. The point is, the team is getting better and younger. Isn't that the point? The next tier of guys are Iaffalo, Frk, Peterson and Hutton who are 26. Everyone else is younger. Next season the Kings will be younger and I would bet they're going to be better than this season. Culture + talent + desire and more youth ready to graduate to the NHL.

1) Someone who claims to be a doctor in the field but won't post credentials are sketchy at best.
2) It broke out 6 months ago bit people are dying now?
3) telling people it's a hoax will only raise the danger
4) blaming it on unsanitary Chinese people only builds xenophobia and is untrue
5) calling this an effort to tank Trump's economy is perhaps the most offensive take

I'm seriously considering reporting anyone posting further falsehoods just because the misinformation being spread can literally kill people.

Kings are now one of the youngest teams in the league and that is without the next bunch of prospects like Turcotte, Fagemo, Kupari, Kaliyev, Bjornfot, etc.

i'm gonna go with what the cdc and health experts are saying and not listen to prime time fox news.
Not buying a grand conspiracy but the CDC hasn't handled this all that well and the Chinese government is unreliable at best when it comes to information.
