He only has to endure four more years of this low talent team.
I'm listing top draft picks like Cernak was.
I'm not arguing the trade, it's just the DL bashers love to feast. We get it. He's pulled over already. He can't pull over anymore.
Delivered two Cups. You guys can't stop rehashing every bad move, yet bad moves are all most other Kings GMs have.
Yeah. He sucked at the end. He's still the best girlfriend we ever had and it looks pathetic to gleefully bash the relationship every time you can three years after the breakup.
There was a lot of gloating and back slapping once Sutter (he got ripped to shreds on here) and DL were sent packing. We were told they were outdated, and all we needed to do was add speed, demand less and have a player friendly environment. That was supposed to be their recipe for a winning culture.
Annual cup contenders they said.
Lol these guys in charge now don’t have a clue what they are doing.
Blake's fault for keeping them. You know what the funny thing is? All of the “high character” players left the team while Lombardi was in charge. Not under new management. I’m sure that’s somehow Blake’s fault as well.
Both are the winningest coach/gm in team history. All they did was win games and hardware. Both things are true.

Respect the hell out of your opinion man, but almost everything that is wrong with this team is the result of moves made between 2014 and 2017. It's not like it can't be discussed when talking about the Kings.
No one mentions any of the moves before that because it lead to two cups, people are strictly complaining about horrendous moves that resulted in 1 playoff win.
I don't dislike the posters that do this and respect their opinions. It's just strange to me how much hatred there seems to be for Lombardi. I feel like Taylor is respected more as a GM by some of these same people so maybe it is just a carry over from cheering these guys on the ice? Dean is just an executive and doesn't have a jersey to retire so **** him?
One thing with Taylor though is that he always seemed handcuffed by ownership on his spending and the moves he could make. With Lombardi there seemed to be way more flexibility with his position. Neither could attract top tier talent via UFA. I also don't really agree that their is a higher level of respect given to a guy nicknamed "Dumpster Diving Dave", it's just enough time has gone by that we are no longer complaining about Randy Robitaille or trading Adam Mair for Erick Rassmussen.

We only have one top 6 caliber forward on the whole team. So not many options. The one thing I'd like to see is Brown NOT in the top 6 anymore. Dude just kills any positive momentum. The guy picked it up last season numbers wise, but this year has not been good except for the 1st 6 weeks or so. I'm ready to see some turnover of the players that gave us 2 cups. It's time.

I would like to see guys like Kempe or Grundstrom be given the same opportunity Iafallo has been given.
the desperation plays were way too desperate in that last attack
kopi's shot was the definition of an "i'm done trying" shot
You know who else won hardware? Marc Crawford. Turned out to be a bad hire. Ducks won a Cup with Carlyle, and they hired him back too. Go ask their fans how great it was bringing him back.
Bob Hartley, Mike Babcock, Peter Laviolette, Dan Bylsma, all won Stanley Cups as coaches, and all are now unemployed as head coaches now. Look at what’s become of GMs like Ken Holland, Ray Shero and Brian Burke, who managed teams to championships. They failed eventually.
Were the Kings still winning when they couldn’t win a playoff series and won only one single playoff game in four seasons? Or missing the playoffs entirely with one of the oldest and most expensive rosters in the league?
Or do you just happen to conveniently forget how awful the team was in 2017?
The point flies over your head consistently,
DL brought a certain culture to the franchise, built new practice facilities and gyms. Training regimens were different, players were working out as a group in the offseason.
Development was different and he should be credited for turning the Kings into a goalie factory. Many goalies are still in the league. Quick was known for sleeping in and missing or being late before Ranford got on his case and turned into what he was.
Bottom line is, the culture that was created was destroyed by AEG and a couple amateurs who wanted to play GM and promote doggie calendars etc.
These same guys in their opening remarks in the press conference after DL and Sutter were canned, said the Kings will be annual cup contenders. After getting swept by the VGK jack offs, Bluc were running around excited that they are cup contenders. That following season everything bombed out on them, players weren’t in shape, nobody was focused etc.
Now their selling fans on the franchise having a top 5 prospect pool according to (insert scouting site).com
They don’t have a plan, they don’t have a clue. Couldn’t buy a clue.
Going to be a long time before that winning culture comes back, if ever. It was a gigantic mistake by AEG to install these two clowns to run the franchise.
The same way facts fly over your head. That “winning culture” was already in the past by 2017, yet you keep ignoring these facts. Keep clinging to the past.
Bad penalty but he’s had 8 minor penalties in 50 games. It’s part of his game he’s largely tidied up.And there's your daily Kempe penalty.
lol yeah the franchise was a perennial lottery team then like it is now. Right.
That happened under previous management, and they didn’t groom any prospects to succeed those players that they lost.
