Funny that there aren't any of the Cernak wouldn't be as good on the Kings posts like there is with so many others.

Maybe he might not have been. He was still one of our best prospects left at the time that we gave away for nothing. There was absolutely no logic to that trade.

prokhorkin crosschecked to the ice

lizotte slashed in half below the goal line right in front of the ref

You mean to tell me renting a goalie for five games and giving up a former second rounder wasn’t a good move?

Speaking of good moves, Cernak with another point. Though that may be offside.

Yeah. Bad trade. Let's chuckle it up every time Pearson scores too. Or the infamous Kubalik.

As for being our top pick, Gibson, Zykov and McKeown say hello.

Just give it to them. It's not like the Kings are gonna come back down by one anyways.

Right handed, 6'4 230 pounds, athletic, and with a mean streak... The Sekara and the Lucic trades stunk, but the Cernak trade was the last straw that got Lombardi fired.

I think a lot of people understood why Pearson was traded. It was so rough for him that he was dumped again before finally settling in with Vancouver. Not sure how Kubalik relates.

As for Zykov and McKeown, are you just listing off other highly drafted prospects that Lombardi traded away for nothing?

Not really, he was pretty much ignored. Give Tampa credit they spotted something the Kings completely missed.

i'm staying out of this argument for my mental health's sake but sure woulda been nice having a blue line with cernak backed up by macdermid

How was he ignored? He was a year and a half removed from being our top draft pick. He went 43rd overall... are you telling me the Kings didn't see anything in him, but still drafted him that high?

Lombardi apologists don’t like it when you bring up colossal errors that veered this team in the wrong direction. They also have this skewed logic thinking that trade signaled that he was planning to rebuild the Kings. Whatever fits their false narrative.

I'm listing top draft picks like Cernak was.

I'm not arguing the trade, it's just the DL bashers love to feast. We get it. He's pulled over already. He can't pull over anymore.

Delivered two Cups. You guys can't stop rehashing every bad move, yet bad moves are all most other Kings GMs have.

Yeah. He sucked at the end. He's still the best girlfriend we ever had and it looks pathetic to gleefully bash the relationship every time you can three years after the breakup.

When you see a 22 year old defenseman playing 19 minutes a night on one of the best teams in the league, then you look at the defensemen left in our system you can understand the complaints. It's f***ing fresh and it was a horrific trade. He happened to score, which also brought it up for people.

I apologize for the guy that won two cups. You guys apologize for a guy that should be saying sorry.

You're right. I'm wrong.
