AMart for at least 2 second rounders is a great return. Good ammo for a move up on draft day depending on how bad we get jobbed again by the Lottery.

It really doesn’t matter. The Kings aren’t competing now. Take the best trade possible.
agreed, sounds like two 2nd rounders. I wonder which ones (hopefully one in New Jersey's 2021). Was hoping for a more NHL ready player (puljujarvi, Hague) as a 2nd round pick won't be ready for what 3-4 years after drafted if ever. LA already has top farm system in league.

I did not anticipate Blake being able to pull off trades for all 4 of Martinez, Clifford, Toffoli, and Campbell this early simply due to how much time it would take to negotiate each deal. If he has a Martinez deal done already he'll have ample time before the deadline to move the lesser pieces of Lewis, Hutton, and/or Forbort.

I will always wonder what Montreal was looking at parting with before Martinez got hurt. They were all over him

If the Kings could get 2 more 2nd’s that would be 4 total. Should be able to parlay a pair of them into the 1st round if they see a guy they like there.

Would you seriously take Forbort ahead of Dillon? You might be the one who’s asleep if you think they’re comparable defensemen.

Forbort is more of a plan D, a bottom pairing, healthy scratch depth option, ala Keaton Ellerby.

I prize Forbort a little more than Helen Kellerby, but not that much more.

So Carter linked to Flyers on Freidman's 31 thoughts. Not the first time he has been linked to them.

If Carter is dealt it would show me that Blake has the balls to move out more core pieces than peripheral ones. Would be very sad for me, but would get it.

I would not expect a large return (if any) without major retention by LA. I am skeptical that this happens.

People wanted the kings to get younger. Kings just got much younger over the last few days. especially after lewis goes.

I'd consider that a miracle TDL for the Kings.

It would be a Festivus miracle!

Was it George McPhee that traded Forsberg for Erat? I guess we're getting Glass and Krebs.

That was a McPhee deal, but he has since kicked himself upstairs and Kelly McCrimmon was promoted to GM.

Odd thing for me was when the Capitals were on the clock, they seemingly had an impromptu pow wow as nobody thought Forsberg would have been available. While it seemed like a no brainer to take him, it almost looked like they had to talk themselves into it.
