Looks like Quick is maybe starting to return to form for you guys. He’s made some ridiculous saves the last couple games.
he's a total head case and prone to momentum swings imo, looks like he got tired of sucking and he's gaining truckloads of confidence lately

Update the "Without Kovy" stat line.

Seriously though, I'm liking the team building that appears to be happening the last week and a half or so. Nice for them to get some wins and points so they can believe in the new system since it isn't going anywhere for awhile. Important for the younger players to be making the key plays and for the vets to start looking energized by it and remember that it is fun to win. That is the atmosphere we want Turcotte, Vilardi etc...to step in to. Good teams care about each other.

There are going to be more rough patches this season for sure and it is great that they started so bad for draft pick purposes, but finishing just outside the black hole with unexpected bright spots like Roy, Lizotte, Walker and Porky is a pretty nice spot to be in while we wait for the cavalry to arrive.

definitely seems to be less "get to your spot" and everyone seems more engaged in the team game

i still feel like they were getting bullied a bit out there but its tough with the way officiating was in the 1st and 2nd. the complete disengagement in the first 15 minutes of the 3rd is a problem but probably to be expected with the general lack of skill on the team. games have certainly been more fun to watch the past weeks though

No longer sitting at the bottom of the stack in the Western Conference.
And now biting at the heels of the Sharks ( yes pun intended)

Four points separates the Kings from 9th in the West. They’re only one point behind San Jose, three behind Vancouver, and four behind Minnesota and Nashville.

Seems like a huge burden was lifted with Kovalchuk off the roster.
...and just passed Anaheim and Chicago -- though they each have 2 games in hand. Late top 10 pick looking more and more likely.

Based on history, that 10:00 am game in Buffalo on Saturday could get ugly.

I nearly died of alcohol poisoning during a Kings/Sabres game about 15 years ago. My college roommate and I decided to make a bet where we'd have to take shots if the other persons team scored. I think the Kings lost 10-2 or something.

A valuable lesson in life is to never make a bet where you are on Mathieu Garon's side.

This would be disappointing for the long term because we are still lacking the future franchise player that is probably only going to come with a Top 5 pick. But it's nice to see the progress some players are making.

I don’t care for the win but I do care about the effort, kids are working hard. Good to see.

Really like Roy. Kid is a keeper and will make for a fine 5/6 guy.
