I just don't understand why we're sticking with the same guys on the powerplay. We have other creative guys that have been on powerplays in the minors. Certainly some other guys could try their luck with the man advantage? I know it's only game three, but that's almost more of a reason why you'd want to see what you've got.

Haven't they scored a few powerplay goals already this season?

that was a horrible penalty to take wow

not only let them kill the 5on3, let them kill the 5on4, give them a PP with 2 gassed defensemen out there

I loved that I finally got to see a Kovy shot, but we need some better options on the powerplay than just sending out Kopitar on the half board with a bunch of right-handed shooters and then taking an hour for one to find an opening.

My issue is why Quick is still considered the undisputed starter. Second stringers have played better than him and he's been bad. I don't understand why they don't make it clear that Quicks position as starter is up for grabs. Because it should be.
this, I think it just shows we are tanking; I am not sure Quick is even a NHL goalie at this point

It's telling to me that when our players have the puck on the powerplay, they're usually standing still.

i got a kick out of watching kopi bang his stick on the ice demanding the puck just for him to stand there stationary like always

like god damnit gimme that puck! i'm gonna pass the f*** out of it!

Doughty has the only two powerplay goals this season.

The whole unit is a part of a powerplay goal being scored, through passing/screens/zone entries it is not just one guy doing all of the work. Currently the Kings are 12th in league for powerplay percentage.

Since Slava left the Kings haven't had a defenseman or point guy on the PP who has the game sense to sneak in the backdoor when Kopitar has it on the half wall.

Kempe on the point makes about as much sense as Stoll did on the point.

Sure, but one of those power play goals was 4 on 3 in overtime last night, and it was scored on a deflection. The power play hasn't looked good, no way to cut it. Small sample size right now.

At least Stoll had a cannon (inaccurate), Kempe does.... dipsy doodles into skates letting the pk unit clear the zone?

You can't really knock a powerplay goal because it was scored on a deflection. That specific goal had great puck movement and player rotations. Kovalchuk was at the point after swapping with Doughty, allowing him to move down to the top of the circles. It was a good powerplay setup, with good movement that ended up with a puck in the back of the net.

I just think it is too early to be knocking TMac and his line decisions, especially when they have produced results in the first couple of games.
