Blake is in a tough spot with Quick and Carter based on their past accomplishments. But both need to be Old Yeller'ed.

Situations like this are why it's tough to blame Blake, yes he should have moved Carter as soon as he was hired but having to be burdened with these unmovable contracts makes it tough.

I mean Blake only had six games before Carter got hurt. He was 32, coming off a 35-goal season. What was he supposed to do?

Atta boy Toffoli! Looking like he remembered how to play hockey this season!

If Toffoli keeps playing like this, he could fetch a 1st+ at the deadline.

He was supposed to trade him, 32 is pretty old for an NHL player and Blake should have known the team was years away from contending.

wtf no it would be such a disrespect to Quick, to be traded for a freakin Lucic!

just play Campbell and keep Quick as a veteran experienced backup but **** Lucic get that **** far away from LA

Looks like you guys don't have much of a chance with Quick in net, at least with Lucic he'll only play a few minutes a game.

This is the GM that wanted Phaneuf and Kovalchuk, and was willing to trade half of our current asset list for Pacioretty. This rebuild was not his first choice.

kempe has to just step up and fire that puck, he spent so much time trying to pick a corner that the forward closed him off

My issue is why Quick is still considered the undisputed starter. Second stringers have played better than him and he's been bad. I don't understand why they don't make it clear that Quicks position as starter is up for grabs. Because it should be.

it's 3 games, 2 of which are a back to back

quick was never going to not get the opening night start, these 2 games both are playing 1 of them

chill. new coach, he's evaluating..

This is the GM that did not move any significant draft picks in 2017/18 despite the team being 2nd in the division. Phaneuf and Gaborik were lateral moves, Kovalchuk cost the team nothing in assets and we don't even know if the Patches thing actually happened and what was offered. He was very open about wanting to refill the pipeline since he took over.

How is a player as talented and smart as Kopitar so useless and predictable on the power play?
He is the NHL equivalent of a collegiate option quarterback. He has no deception to his game, he just holds it until he draws defenders to him so he can dish it to players moving into that new open space.

That creates two problems: everyone knows Kopitar has never looked anyone off, so they have stopped pressuring him, and even when they do, no King moves into those spaces.
