My issue is why Quick is still considered the undisputed starter. Second stringers have played better than him and he's been bad. I don't understand why they don't make it clear that Quicks position as starter is up for grabs. Because it should be.

Because the team is going nowhere, no matter who is in goal. And Quick is one of the most iconic players in franchise history.

it's 3 games, 2 of which are a back to back

quick was never going to not get the opening night start, these 2 games both are playing 1 of them

chill. new coach, he's evaluating..

That's not my point. My point is usually when a vet is not undisputed #1 it's usually made clear that there is a spot for that job from Management. All indication this year is that Quick is undisputed number 1.

If Stoll can be a #2 on an Edmonton team that went to the finals, Amadio can hold the fort on this team at #2 for the year.
Did you watch the last shift? Amadio just isn't strong enough for this league.

That means nothing. Are the Kings trying to be competitive or are they trying to tank. Luongo was an iconic starter for Vancouver but he lost that job pretty fast.

Kings should be more worried about being competitive, not upholding a pathetic reputation. Icon means nothing if they suck now.

Tofolli is motivated, Grundstrom is waking up, and Kovalchuk needs to be shot for that *****.
i got a buddy i game with that reminds me so much of kovy.. tremendous talent, sometimes the solo carry but every so often he gets a bit full of piss and vinegar and when he f***s up, boy does he f*** up

This is the GM that did not move any significant draft picks in 2017/18 despite the team being 2nd in the division. Phaneuf and Gaborik were lateral moves, Kovalchuk cost the team nothing in assets and we don't even know if the Patches thing actually happened and what was offered. He was very open about wanting to refill the pipeline since he took over.

Sure we do, we just can't prove it via links. Its no secret, it was reported both by reliabke sources and those with inside knowledge.

The deal was Muzzin, Anderson-Dolan and the Akil Thomas pick for Pacioretty. Its no secret, that was the deal if Pacioretty would sign a 6 x 6 extension. That means no JAD, no Thomas, no Bjornfot, no Grundstrom, no Durzi, but yet another retirement contract.

As trash as the defense and goaltending is, they look ALOT better transitioning and entering the zone compared to being stationary at the line and trying to enter the zone.

What reliable sources reported that?

I just don't understand why we're sticking with the same guys on the powerplay. We have other creative guys that have been on powerplays in the minors. Certainly some other guys could try their luck with the man advantage? I know it's only game three, but that's almost more of a reason why you'd want to see what you've got.
