Dude is a turnover machine in all three zones.
Lol, take a long look in the mirror bud.Haha. Ok. You and I are just going to fundamentally disagree on everything since Amadio isn't NHL caliber but Roy is one of our better d-men? Give me a break.
He's on the ice for less high-danger chances than almost anyone on the roster rate-wise and count-wise, his anticipation is one of his greatest attributes since his foot speed isn't great. He's often the guy picking the puck and turning the play the other way for chrissakes.
He was very visibly talking about Kovalchuk.
your player evaluation is really questionable right now.
Lol, take a long look in the mirror bud.
I said Roy was one of the best defensemen in camp, which was in direct response to the crap posted on here. He is a young defenseman learning his way into the league, and its going to take time - which has to be known that the Kings can absolutely afford right now - to get his reads down right. He has absolutely made mistakes, but not the same ones game in and game out.
And I like Amadio a hell of a lot more than I like Roy, and I would be far more disappointed if he doesn't pan out. Problem is, he keeps making the same errors over and over again. He was scratched yesterday for good reason. He just can't keep on the right side of plays unless the puck is on his stick. He has to learn to put his ability to sniff out plays on both parts of the rink.
He deserves time to adjust as well, but you can't blame a coach for taking him out of the lineup if he doesn't learn from his mistakes.
My point is there are much greater perpetrators than Amadio, even at the same "C" position. and giving him less opportunity instead of more when the results are positive to nearly the greatest degree on the roster is as completely counterintuitive as is isolating every single one of his mistakes to find reasons to remove him.
Can you imagine putting together a Kempe or Kovalchuk lowlight reel?
Re: Roy at least I'm good with aggressive mistakes over passive ones and he's massively picked that up.
Anyway, my thing is that saying Amadio sucks at defense or needs to pick it up is nearly in the same complaint bucket as "Kyle Clifford needs to score more," there are much bigger problems/offenders on the roster and it's a pretty inaccurate complaint anyway.
Fair enough, its no fun if we all always see the same things.
