oh he did play against vancouver i guess, my mistake. thought the prokhorkin swap was just for bjornfot, didn't remember they sent grundstrom down then tooWho cares about camp or practice. You dont get points there.
(nothing personal)
He did start with the team.
When Blake took over as GM, Kempe was probably the best prospect in the pool. He hasn't developed the way we all hoped, but I think it is probably smart to do everything possible to help him develop. Especially in a transition season.
Kempe is very bad currently but lets not overreact.
11 games in....get real.
The whole team was, why do you need to single out Kempe. Only because it fits your narrative. Are we supposed to forget how abysmal he was last season as well? He’s consistently disappointing.

No it is just these 11 games.Wagner and Clifford didn’t perform embarrassingly. I guess I shouldn’t bring up facts because it “fits my narrative” when pointing out how disappointing a player has been for more than just 11 games, as you suggested.
No it is just these 11 games.
You are one of those who terribly overreact.
That is not a silly assertion. That is your silly opinion to make an unfair point. How am I overreacting, by disagreeing with your silly assertion that Kempe wasn’t bad last season?
Perhaps you can explain what Kempe was good at last season.

kempe needs a conditioning assignment in the AHL, for about a month.
Adrian Kempe has 1 power play goal in 198 NHL games. He has had time on the power play in each of his 4 seasons.
16-17 0:48 average PP time per game
17-18 1:06 average PP time per game
18-19 1:21 average PP time per game
19-20 2:46 average PP time per game
Good luck with that. Amadio is getting benched over Kempe at this point. Boggles the mind.I would 100% rather have Amadio out there on the PP than Kempe. He hasn't done anything to earn it and I don't know why they through him out there sometimes on the point like he's Kovalchuk.
Not really. Kempe is on the pp because he can skate the puck in. The fact his shot can't hit the net is irrelevant since no one else can either. Amadio was benched because he's a spectator on D.Good luck with that. Amadio is getting benched over Kempe at this point. Boggles the mind.
Established vets always get free passes. Not sure what your point is.It's funny how well everyone can remember Amadio's one big mistake on D but give other guys free passes constantly.
Will never understand why people are basically rooting for this dude to fail at this point, some folks have been trying to leave him off the roster since the end of last year.
Re: Kempe on the PP he can skate the puck in better than almost anyone on the squad and in all his play everywhere but the NHL he's been a terrifying PP guy, not sure why he's so brain dead here but that's the best I can assume on why TM is giving him every opportunity possible to prove himself right or wrong.

Amadio is not NHL level unless the puck is on his stick from the dots in. His transitional and defensive zone awareness is amateur hour. When you don't have the foot speed to recover for not seeing things as they develop, you are going to be on the ice for a whole lot of outnumbered attacks against, which has been the case. He gets caught watching way, way too often.Good luck with that. Amadio is getting benched over Kempe at this point. Boggles the mind.
One? Its consistent. Who do you think MacLellan was talking about when he said he couldn't believe that the same line made the same mistake twice? He has been very poor this season when he isn't moving the puck towards the net. Its no shock that he sat out yesterday, he needs a break to reassess his ability to play in this league. It's funny how well everyone can remember Amadio's one big mistake on D but give other guys free passes constantly.

Don't tell me, you need to go see TM right away. And Kempe is a spectator in every facet of the game other than skating the puck in on the PP. By your logic since no one can score on the PP then the one thing he brings to the table is irrelevant. It's no surprise that the 4th line got be the best looks on the powerplay yesterday, and somehow they did it without Kempe's magical skating ability.
I already tried but something something restraining order something something.Don't tell me, you need to go see TM right away.

Its a shame, because he really has great vision on attack, especially in traffic. His ability to make plays in the slot is ahead of anybody else on the current roster.
