Not a good showing for the team. At the same time Quick isnt giving his team a chance to win. Hes on his knees even when his team has possession. By the end of the play hes on his back. They will be less than .500 if hes the starting goalie.
I am usually a Quick defender but the writing is on the wall

the TV is f***in brutal man

fox/faust is one of the worst combos in the NHL, complete absence of professionalism which is a disgrace after having been blessed with bob for so many years

someone just needs to bark in fausts ear "you are not doing color. you are doing play-by-play" every 30 seconds because i think he's capable of calling a good game if he actually calls it.. he just insists on having good ole boys fun time with fox

sucks cause i felt like quick had a decent game the other night, he looked much quieter in net but he was back to his old self tonight flopping around every which way

I don't know if you saw the 5th goal, but if you're expecting any NHL goalie to have even passable numbers with peewees playing in front of them, I don't know what to tell you.

And they've been telling us that for almost a calendar year now. Nobody should have an ounce of emotion invested in this season. They're very likely going to lose many more than they win, but they're also going to win sometimes. If anyone is going to live and die with the tank, they're going to win a couple games every now and then, but just relax. There shouldn't be any stress. This team is still led, in pretty much every category, but the 2014 guys. It's going to be a while. They're 3 defensemen away from just a playoff spot, let alone the issues up front or in net.

Then the question becomes, well why are we watching? Or even worse, paying money for tickets. Because we're crazy.
 
worst loss of the season. They went in thinking this was gonna be a gimme win because how messed up the wild are. guess what, the kings got what deserved losing to them. Pin this loss again on the special teams or lack of. game changed on the doughty miss on the pp.

Everyone loves Lizotte, but he's got 0 goals in 11 games. Not blaming the guy, but it's not a team with a ton of talent. Not like anyone predicted them to be a high scoring team.

Yea i saw it. It was pathetic. His team in front of him was pathetic. He was pathetic.

I had to start muting the game because my wife hates Faust even more than me, I just do my best to sync up Nickson now. I hope he takes on another job soon and we can get someone else doing play by play.

Not saying they aren't. But Quick hasn't put solid games together back to back. His stats say otherwise. He needs to be better most importantly. Defenseman don't get paid to make saves. Goalies get paid to make tough saves. Haven't got that at all this year.
 
Without watching the game, seeing 30+ shots and only one goal on Stalock and another struggling team/defense while getting rolled up for 5 goals reeks of last year and the random "f*** it" collapses and that's a little alarming.

Yup. This team shows stellar play and then collapses. Doughty and Kopitar together on PP is a mistake
 
real talk that PP1 unit needs to be gone yesterday

seems like they think they can just get to their spot, stand there and the puck will appear in the net

Lizotte would be a really great fourth line center, but ya know, we don’t have good players anymore.

Kovalchuk is always moving on the powerplay when he has the puck, and lo and behold, he’s basically the only guy that generates any chances. He’s unpredictable, and defenses is forced to react rather than predict. Unfortunately, our inept offense doesn’t know where to be either.

It's quite easy to point out major errors in Quick's game - time after time.

If this is (again) the best he's got, they need a new goalie coach. (is it still Ranford?)
 
WE've reached the 11 game mark and I liked most of what I saw in the first 10 games play wise given situations but even not seeing tonight's game it's really ugly to drop this one in such a fashion.

I said we'll find out who they really are when the schedule calms down over the next month, but I think we may have found out tonight?

Regardless, if this season is about sorting the wheat from the chaff, seems like there are some pretty clear camps of "2018 was an outlier" and "2018 was who this guy is" forming. That's good to know as the roster evolves throughout the next month or so.

They're not going to be able to hold down some of the Reign players, and they're not going to be able to excuse some of the Kings players. And Todd's evaluations so far have been money, we'll see if his words translate into actions. I really appreciate and respect the way he's gone to bat for Kempe and Quick, gotta give those guys confidence, but I know he will be a realist at some point as well.

They mentioned Kopitar was sick, so again I didn't see it, but he gets a 2-3 game benefit of the doubt from me given he was over PPG until now.

For that matter, not calling out Iafallo and Brown, but they are not doing much of anything the last 3 games. Aside from Iafallo's defelection the other game, he and Brown have generated
almost nothing. But alas, TM will not break up that line and roll with it.

It's time to move Iafallo off that line....give Prokhorkin a shot. Honestly, Grundstrom should get a shot there. I would bet all my stock account if Grundstrom played a full year at LW1
vs Iafallo LW1, Grundstrom would score 10 more goals. Easily, too. He had 2 more points tonight and has 5 goals, 7 points in 4 games and plus 8. Why not call him up and put him LW1?
Nothing to lose. Iafallo and Brown never get called out, because they give a decent effort, but they both are not creating anything to be top line wingers. Kovalchuk (yes he has flaws)
sure skated hard tonight and created more chances than both Brown and Iafallo by a large margin. Put either him with Kopi or Prokhorkin. This team is going nowhere anyway.
Time for wakeup call.

Bjornfot another goal tonight....but he's not flashy!! 4 pts in 4 games, plus 7 . Amazing. Anderson-Dolan goal and assist and 2nd star. He just turned 20. Seems like he should be 21 or 22 by
now. Just seems to have been in the system a long time. Ontario has some serious young talent now: JAD, Kupari, Grundstrom, Bjornfot...and even Luff is coming around and was first star
tonight. I know Durzi is skating again and hopefully close. Too bad he got injured early on.

Break up line 1. Move Iafallo down for starters. I would make Amadio 2C and move Lizotte to 4C. Lewis has also been meh last 2 games.
I think we see Prokhorkin play his first game tomorrow in Chicago.
