American here that was rooting hard for Sweden but I don't agree with everyone saying the refs gave Canada this game.

If anyone remembers, early on in the game the refs took back what would have been a Canada goal because of an early whistle when the puck was still free. So it goes both ways

Gold Medal game is the opportunity to upgrade it to a Gold.

What you say is true. It's not like I recommend throwing a medal away like that. I'm just trying to see it as just how a good player just hurt so much at that moment. I think I am seeing it and just soaking it in as part of this emotional game.

I haven't read any other pages so I apologize if this has already been discussed but.. that reffing was terrible. Calls should have been 5-3/5-4 OR 3-2/3-1. 5-1 was just cringe worthy with how evenly both teams deserved calls.

I'm glad Canada won despite the power play (-1) so I can't complain but wow, this was borderline Tim Peel tonight.

I just saw it again...where did you see the beating of three men? I think you made that up. He came into the zone proceeded to get his stick slashed out of his hands and that was that.
