How many times have you seen guys who are actually competitive in a gold medal game be happy and smile about receiving the silver medal? Nothing but respect for guys who dont care about silver and only want to win gold.

There’s a huge difference between being happy about losing, and throwing a medal away.

He was an absolute force for Sweden for tournament, gave it all for that team and was a fitting captain as he led by example.

Sweden has an amazing PK, but taking those penalties is not good enough. Certain players we need to win either have to defend or have their ice time disrupted. As for the calls, at least the last three were obvious. Don't remember the ones before. I did make offensive gestures at the screen for a couple of non-calls, but whatcha gonna do when your team is playing a gold medal game?

And of course there was a finnish referee... :-P

For everyone who is saying this game was reffed horribly, you are wrong. All of Sweden's penalties were penalties. They missed a bad one when Timmins hooked Petterson. Other than that, anything that was missed was questionable calls both ways.
We all don't want make up calls to ruin games. This time they don't, and we bash them?

Great game, absolutely loved every minute of it and it could have gone either way. Congrats to Canada. There are different ways to lose and this time Sweden really did their best game in the tournament. Should be proud over the effort even if it didnt get them the whole way.

Everyone forgets that you win a Silver when you win your Semi-final game.

Gold Medal game is the opportunity to upgrade it to a Gold.

It show's that they are not captain material. Captains are supposed to motivate and lead a team with dignity and class.
