USA controlled the play in the 1st and most of the 2nd but ultimately choked the game away.

Was a good late effort by the US to put themselves in a position to even have a chance down 4-0 with 10 left, but just too big a hole.

I feel like Middlstadt is gonna be one hell of a bust. Feels very selfish and lazy not the type of guy to putting in work to improve

I didn't get that vibe at all.

Mittelstadt has been the best player in the tournament for me.

Actually think a Sweden-Canada final is going to be a hell of a game. Those were NHL level shots and discipline that the Swedes showed tonight

Axel Jonsson Fjällby looks amazing playing vs North American teams, the guy is made for the NHL. The intensity, the hard physical work and the speed. The Capitals 147th overall pick in the 2016 NHL draft, are you kidding me?

I feel Buffalo is also the worst possible place for him to go to. Unless they get their shit together real quick

Hope Yamamoto is ok.

I think the win is fair, 4-0 would not have represent the game but 4-2 seems pretty fair.

Elias Pettersson should have been in that trio.

Yamamoto looked like he had the air blown out of him. What happened? I only saw a semi-dirty slash.

Sweden certainly deserved this, but I am also impressed by the U.S. pressure during the final minutes. In the first half of the 3rd, they looked completely rid of fuel, they were literally not able to skate properly, allowed three goals. Then, one Swedish foul (a stupid one, needed to say), a PP goal, and suddenly, it was only the US all over the ice. If they just capitalized on some of their scoring chances some minute or two to the end, there would be really insane dying seconds. It's a little bit pity for me as a "neutral" hockey fan in this game, because that would definitely be exciting to watch.
But overall, Sweden deserved to win. Since roughly the half of the 2nd, they were significantly the more dangerous team, except for that last 7-8 minutes. I expected a fun hockey and this was some great game to watch.
