Sweden-Canada should be a really good game, Sweden's defense and goaltending are obviously great and I'd be really curious to see if they can slow down Canada's amazing forward depth. It should be a great game to watch. I think Sweden having a lot of professional players, whether it be AHLers or SHLers, may be a big factor in the gold medal game.

Sweden's experience should be a huge advantage against anyone they face... lots of pro experience...

Canada isn't there yet....

Did they just want to give the Buffalo fans something to cheer for? No logic in Nylander over Petterson

- Bad slash at the end, no need for that.
- Bad embellishment on penalties.

There. Done.

Thank you for a good game, US! See you tomorrow, Canada!

Yeah and the complainers are in favour of the team that won. Then you have an issue. 95% of the time it's the losing team complaining. US got very weak calls in their favour, especially considering what wasn't called in the other end of the ice for the half of the game. It didn't help that the US players fell like leaves every time it was contact.

The slash at the end was a message, maybe? Now THAT is a penalty where you don't dive.

Yes of course.

I would take this more seriously if it wasn't a conspiracy theory every f***in game here.

GG by Sweden. Embarrassing effort from Americans.

We deserve to lose when you keep starting an obviously struggling goalie. Woll with an absolute pathetic display all tournament - arguably the worst performance from a top team goaltender I've seen. Motzko deserves criticism for goaltending decisions.

I don't know why the USA was so slow paced today.

Canada is going to play at a much higher intensity and I don't know if the Swedes will be able to match it.

A devastating slash...on the pad.

If you find yourself calling for a suspension on that, it's your frustration talking. He milked it. That's fine, but have some dignity for goodness sake. It was a two minute slash and the kid did a flop. No worries either way, it happens.

That was a bad slash. Yamamoto was not milking it.

That was a bad slash, real bad. FYI, I cant stand the swedish fans that calls Yamamoto out right there, echoing the REALLY BAD swedish commentator. Shows how weak-minded you guys are.

I agree, felt ashamed there, awful slash. :-(

Every penalty was not a dive today. To think that way is just foolish. Too bad you can’t just enjoy the Swedish win.
I came into this game biased towards USA with only a slight Swedish interest for Brannstrom. The US players were definitely diving. Some calls were correct regardless of the dive but they were fishing for calls for sure.

I was impressed by EP's defensive play. He doesn't get enough credit for that

I didn't get that vibe at all.

Mittelstadt has been the best player in the tournament for me.
He gets away with a lot because hes insanely skilled and when youre playing against kids that are either your age or younger you'll dominate based off that alone. I mean can you really say you have a big work ethic if you cant do one chin up. Work outs are a big enough factor and he clearly doesnt work all that hard off the ice. Probably because he hasnt had too in the NHL his skill will stand out less. Hes clearly very talented but idk I just have this feeling.
