The hockey is pretty bad but emotions are high. Should be an intriguing 3rd period. Good news for Canada is that US hasn't come close to a grade A chance unless 5 on 3, even 5 on 4 is being defended pretty well.

I feel like more drama is definitely pending. Game will be very close.

Turned the game on to a 2-0 Canada lead. Said to my wife "watch us get a penalty". Literally before the words were out of my mouth we got TWO, apparently for getting cross checked in the face. Predictably the US scores. Then Canada gets a goal and, also predictably, it requires a review even though a blind man could see it's a good goal. Meanwhile during the review another couple of inches of snow fall on the ice rendering it basically unplayable. Turned off the game shortly afterwards...

Maybe i am only one but this game is pretty fun. Second period was least more entertaining than any period in NHL outdoor games has ever been.

US have had chances but Hart has been great and Canada has cleaned up rebounds.

The first penalty was the cross check. That was actually a penalty. The other was two guys shoving.

Except the American crosschecked the Canadian player in the face first. And right in front of the ref too. There is Noway Canada should have been down 2 men. I'm not saying Canada didnt deserve the penalties but thevUS should have had at least one.

Too bad the playing conditions aren't better. This is the least physical game i've ever seen between these teams and i love smashmouth hockey.
