Maybe he didn't want to risk a penalty. Maybe he thought mete wouldn't get dusted easily. Not many coaches would be happy, but most players would just shrug it off if they got the majority of the blame for that play while back checking.

Who said majority? I mentioned earlier that I pointed it out because nobody was talking about them at all.

Support is a thing for a reason. Players make mistakes. If the support that should be there isn't there, it should be called out for not being there. I know topics like that aren't big on HF, but it doesn't mean they aren't important.

If a kid I coached blew off that criticism, I'd bench his ass. Play the team game, or don't play at all.
