Yeh, he is sitting in the press box posting twitter messages. Definetely strange thing on this generation.
After yesterday´s hard evening match with only 11 forwards against relaxed opponent. This will be ugly. I doubt Krejčí or Hertl will come. Hertl has no contract for next season and with his knee issues in the past. Krejčí had a health problems again. Kaut in the press box is a big mistake.

He can sit there forever with tweets like that

I think this is pretty ok  It's a know fact that Voracek is a HFBoards reader. A Flyer fan was critisizing him pretty harshly so Jake posted this tweet.

Yeah, I like when players start these talks, just wonder whether Jake would post smth like that after this season. I am old school, still thought that these guys should be role models. Especially when your u20 coach pointed on this problem. I am just looking for how proud Kaut will defend Orpik once Caps draft him. I reckon he will shut up. Or maybe I just dont have any sense of humour.

I even thought Necas is smth like national junior hero. Obviously people hate him here, thats a new fact for me.

New info. David Musil and Filip Pyrochta are leaving the team. It must mean Jakub Krejčík is ready to play.

In fairness... The fans on Czech facebook sights like milujem hokej are pretty clueless as hockey fans. Not all of them but I read a lot of stupid comments on there. Finding this board was a godsend.

Hertl definitely won't come... Wonder what his new contract will be? Career year and very good playoffs. I was surprised he's never had a 50 point season. The only player left is Pastrnak and he is the leader of our youth movement.

Today's game will be very tough. A tired underdog team playing a very strong favorite! And no Necas. I'm guessing 5-2 Sweden. Hope I'm very wrong and Rittich steals the match!

You are 100% correct. 3 weeks hockey fans and experts. They do not know anything about contracts etc. Krečí and Herl certainly will not come.

Speaking of facebook and clueless fans, I gotta love how 50% of the comments are about Cervenka. How much he sucks, how's not deserving to be in the national team etc. Like do these people even watch the games?

I feel sorry for Filip Pyrochta. He was very good.
I have the exact opinion. He didn't impress me at all in the pre-tournament games. I don't understand why would any NHL team want to sign him, but I won't complain if he does get signed.

I've never understood the Cervenka hate... he shows up everytime and is usually a difference maker. I've noticed he even hussles back and shot blocks more. He's a perfect leader on this half Euro teams. Last year they were smashing Pastrnak and how he sucks... he led the team in points and shots. They are usually most critical of the 4 or 5 NHL players that come.

Dont know about FB pages but I came here from old TSN forums for same reasons. So I dont think czech fans are that horrible. But for some reasons Jandac and obviously this 18 year old smart guy think they are hunted here despite they are silent abroad with exception of all time great like Mara Machovsky whose chance to NHL became close to zero after one interview he made in CZ. Notwithstanding czechs are one of the most supported team in tournaments. But i wont screw my afternoon because of that.

I apologize but I didn't understand this part?

I think Czech fans are amazing and they show up to every tournament. My dream is to attend a World's one Spring and hang with Czech fans one day. Even better if they were in Brno. FTR... I've never questioned the hustle of a Czech team either.. even the ones that get smoked at the WJC's... I feel like they play with heart and go like hell. Rarely do I leave disapointed in effort.

Sweden was definitely better. They just keep getting the puck in crease and getting inside the 'home plate' areas. So good at it. We haven't had too much pushback. Plekanec has looked very good and involved. Chytil had some very noticeable shifts as well and is finding his way. Not sure how I felt about the goals that got past Rittich. I'm noticing Sulak more and more and he is starting to be one of my favourite players in the tourney.

100% agreed, also Cervenka had his moment with a gorgeous pass across the offensive zone...shame we couldn't capitalize on that one

I am in shock that the very systematic, beautifully coached Swedes let themelves be totally taken off their game. Beautiful period by the Czechs. They may not win but Rittich is looking much better, Hronek scored his first goal (I think that all the goals are by NT rookies, right? Maybe not Kubalik?) BUT my favoutie part by far was Faksa standing up for Cervenka at a neutral zone faceoff. These guys haven't played much together and they seem to be bonding right in front of my eyes! Yesterdays comeback and now this! My only qualm is finishing... I feel like we get beauty passes across the crease and whoever needs to finish misses.

I sort of felt like Faksa had 2 big mistakes in the final 15 seconds (kicking in faceoff and losing puck behind net). Loved how we played. Radko made a few mistakes and I think he needs to adjust a little more. I think Rittich played very well. Loved the fight back and new blood scoring. Hronek and Sulak looked great on the offensive end of the puck. Plekanec looked very good despite not enough offence. Hyka had a lot of great chances, really happy to see him score. Couldn't help but think what Pastnak would've done with those passes? Maybe, in quarters, we'll have both Pastrnak and Necas flying around? Couldn't hurt.

So that's 67 shots on goal and 5 goals so far. Another tournament, another Czech team struggling to score.
Hronek proved he is much better PP quarterback than Gudas. Hronek and Sulak are the only Ds capable of playing PP. Them being available was truly a godsend.
I would like to see Hronek get more even strenght ice time. Moravcik's time should be reduced, he is painful to watch. Wish we had gotten Simek to replace him.

I'm thrilled with all the shots. Agree about finishing but we dominated the Slovak game for long stretches and we hung in really well today and even dominated the 2nd period IMO. Lot of rookies on the team.

Assuming Kempny and Jerabek don't fly over... what are our current D options? Is it Krejcik? Is that it or are there other Czech D in the stands with Kaut and Stastny?

Also Kousal proved what we said about him. Twitterman might get his chance.

Overall it was solid performance with mistakes but also some promising things.
