Carolina scouts should be shown the door if they pass on the clear cut BPA on the basis that Zadina showed chemistry with one of their prospects (who hasn't played an NHL game himself) during a short sample tournament.

Yeah, hoping the Canes pass on Svechnikov is simply setting up for dissapointment.

Getting that close to Dahlin/Svechnikov just to get kicked in the balls with #3 is already enough disappointment for me lol, I'm not going in the draft hoping for another miracle and Carolina goes full Bergevin.

Just never know. Canes owner is a meddler and wants immediate results ie play offs. Canes want to be tougher. Maybe they are looking at doing something stupid and would take Tkachuk at 3 and so be willing to trade their 2nd OA.
Then they should just take him at 2. Why even consider trading with them if we get the same guy regardless?

If Dahlin and Svechnikov are off the board, I'd like to see a trade down with Arizona so we can take Boqvist and pick up some more picks or prospects

Let's be fair here. Zadina has shown a lot more then his performance at the U20. He's been very good all year long. Besides, people are boosting Kotkaniemi's stock based on his performance in a much inferior tournament.

No he did not. Svechnikov produced while playing 4th line minutes with no PP and he was clearly thr Russians best forward.

While I do agree that 3 is close to other players, I wouldn't categorize it as 3-9. For me, it's Zadina/Wahlstrom/Boqvist then maybe Hughes and then there is a drop off(even if little). And with Boqvist concussion history, it's Wahlstrom/Zadina for me.

I'm no scout, but everytime I watched the Mosseheads play this year I couldn't help myself but to think that Zadina looks like a young Marian Hossa, both his style and his skills.

A.Svechnikov is a hell of a player, but I would be ecstatic with getting Zadina at 3rd.

I haven't said otherwise. The post was specifically about the Necas connection that's beeing brought up constantly.

Can you guess which prospect this is?
8 goals in 40 games.

Before that, 12 goals in 24 games.

Before that, 4 goals in 36 games.

Hint: He was 1 day away from being 2017 eligible.

If we are talking of top10 pick that must be a D, I look at all of them didn't found any match. Your numbers must be wrong.
