I wouldn't be too concerned with Hallanders upside.

His hustle and net play alone should get him get him some goals.

I mean, there aren't too many third liners who passed or shot the puck like that at 17.

I'm not expecting a star, but a second line guy who can step up and be amongst attitude/60 leaders 5 on 5. Hes just good.

I agree with what youre saying, i just like the Berggren upside a lot more.

Usually, youre on this side of the fence too, weird that youd be there with Hallander and Berggren.

I just see more offensive upside in Hallander than you do. Also, in addition to what I've seen from Hallander, you cannot really object to his level of production in the Allsvenskan league this season. The company he keeps is pretty good, something like 83% of them have become NHLers and almost half of them are top 6 level talents in the NHL, with some of them being legitimate stars.

I see talent
I see the willingness to compete in NHL areas
I see the ability to make plays in traffic, around the net, that require patience and vision in a limited window
I see production
and I have history on my side with this.

Berggren dominated the SuperElit, but he didn't really produce when he went up against men. I was burned with such a thing before with Sebastien Collberg.

You see more than 50?

Im like 99.99% sure hell be a NHL worthy player, just like Hayton/Veleno.

Hes a glue guy thats for sure and ultimately a player that gets you closer to a cup, but a player you need when you have the big guns.

Oh god no.

Ginning isn't as bad as I thought but I still don't want him.

Meanwhile the Samuelssons reinforced every terrible thing I've thought of them. What bums.
Im always confused whenever i watch them but theres one of them that is a lot better than the other. Like late 2nd round okayish for me.

M. Samuelsson is the better one but he still profiles like every first round D bust I've seen play.

More than 50? Possible. If he gets on a team with a good powerplay, he can definitely rack up the points.. if he's playing support to a good center/winger combination, absolutely.

He's a very good winger, I don't see anything in his game that I don't particularly like. That's valuable and he does have talent. I mean watch that video again and see what he does right on top of the goalie, with people closing in on him, the reaction time and vision/sense it requires to make those plays is very special. Compared to most players, especially at that age, who will just jam the puck at the goalies pad hoping somehow the laws of physics will get suspended and the puck will burrow a hole in the ice and teleport over the goal-line.

Berggren is talented and a possession winger, so naturally he's going to look better from that standpoint. I'm not going to debate a few places on peoples lists, we all like certain traits differently. If we pass on Hallander to take Berggren, I'll still be very ecstatic, it's splitting hairs with a lot of these guys outside of the top 10.

Obviously he is talented. So is Tkachuk though :)

bruh

Mattias has been legit bad for all US games except today's. Maybe he's just now finding his groove but I haven't liked his game in transition.

If you have Veleno, McLeod or Groulx higher than him. Then u and I gots a big problem.
Veleno sure, I think McLoed and him both share similar traits and Giroux nah.

Made a quick list and off the top of my head hed start being a maybe at 35. Hes right ahead of Hayton, Noel, Woo, Merkley and in contention with a few guys I like like Wise, Roman, Fonstad, Dudas ... so clearly higher than i initially thought.

Well, Veleno will for sure get drafted ahead Hallander, and there's a possibility that McLeod too, and you know that. Groulx has dropped a lot, but knowing this organization, wouldn't surprise me one bit if they'd draft Groulx ahead of Hallander if both were available with our first 2nd rounder. (would be stupid as f***, but hey...)

I'm high on Hallander too, but not to the point where I'll think he gets drafted in the early teens of the 1st round like Veleno will, more like a late 1st/early 2nd round.

0 point for Smith in the tournament, considering the quality ice time he had and was paired with Merkley most of the time, thats quite disappointing. Good skating ability and poise, but I didn't saw any high end IQ plays that wowed me, he probably underdelivered, but still I don't think he belongs in the top10. 10 to 15 is the right range imo.

What are you guys thoughts on Lauko and Jenik? I had them high in my rankings, I am pretty sure I had Jenik higher than anyone else, he is super young, I think they played a pretty solid game, but they are getting pass in my rankings from couple of players I have been more impressed by in Berggren, Foudy and Dellandrea notably. They are interesting options for the latter 2nd rounders tho imo, I am not seeing their names often here.
