Any chance Serron Noel falls to the second round? He has impressed me in the U18 tournament so far, big, physical, skating, scoring touch!

He has an intriguing mix of skills and size but his skating and balance are red flags, his capacities to work in tight is also a question mark, I would pass with our early 2nds personally...

Which is still whatever because in real life I would've been trading up for chytil or trading down for more picks.

It's the best way imo, because you won't know who will be willing to trade up/down. Unless a trade that is very similar is taken place.

Hell yeah, however, there is no chance that both Dobson and Kotkaniemi slide that much, they are both very high picks...

I think Dobson goes in the top 10 but Kotkaniemi might fall in the 15 ish spot. Hard to predict with what each team would be targeting. Best player available from 8-20 varies by a lot depending on who you talk too

Curious to what people think? Who has more offensive ability at the NHL level? Tkachuk or Poehling

That's hard to say both were in their age 18 season and put up similar numbers with Poehling getting the edge in ppg (.86 vs .78) Even though Poehling is more of a playmaker he had almost double the goals that Tkachuk had.

But Poehling played for one of the top scoring teams in the NCAA and BU had a bit of a down year. I don't know what they will do in the NHL and I've seen a lot more of Poehling and was very impressed with his play and how involved he was in driving the offense.

Kind of how I feel about it too. I would love to have both of them on our roster in a year or two! Won’t be upset with Dobson, Hughes, Wahlstrom, Boqvist, or Zadina either. I just like the game Tkachuk showed at the world juniors! He was impressive as a 18 year old

Probably says we get the 5th or 6th pick but a top 2 pick would be sweet!

As far as Zadina, I still like him but I’m not as high on him as I was.

With both Poehling and Tkachuk, we would have the building blocks for a great third line. Which makes sense, since this scouting staff seems unable to draft legitimate top-6 talent.

Morozov. He's a do-it-all center. I love his game and there's more offensive upside there then I think people realize. Marchenko is a boom or bust guy who's skating needs to improve.
