I have a feeling that we will be crying once Kotkaniemi goes PPG in a mens league next year and produces similar numbers to Zadina with the exception that he is a big center instead of a winger.

Well I feel the same but I'd rather get another pick to get Kotkaniemi. That way we could have both Zadina and Kotkaniemi elevating each other and being one of the nastiest 1-2 punches in the NHL.

I'd rather go for Kotkaniemi. Kid has it all, needs to work on his skating no doubt, but he will be an excellent center imo. Another year of tank, and we will have our own nasty 1-2 punch with Dach-Kotkaniemi down the middle.

Sadly, same as before. They are both perpetually downloading.

Anyone else experiencing this? What if it's my computer? Mind you, first time this happens to me is with these streamables, and I'm normally able to play this format.

Yeah but wouldn't you rather have people to play with on Dach's wings. By 2019-2020, Pacioretty and Galchenyuk are probably gone. I mean there is Drouin but other then that we don't have anybody right now. I'm not saying I disagree with what you're saying, but I'd rather see a dynamic duo on the same line with great chemistry rather then on different lines. Our wings on the 2nd line would be gross to look at unless we get some gems in the draft.

They aren't loading for me either. Also, not going to lie, I know pretty much nothing about O'Brien.

I just remembered Kakko is in the draft next year. Omg imagine how good Kotka and Kakko would be. I may be wrong but I believe they had crazy good chemistry at U18. That would be crazy especially if Kotka does develop into a 1C:nod:

So basically(assuming no other player we will draft with our later picks. I also doubt we trade both Pacioretty+Galchenyuk, but for the sake of the argument):
Drouin-Dach-Zadina
Lehkonen-Poehling/Danault-Gallagher

vs

Drouin-Dach-Gallagher
Lekhonen-Kotkaniemi-Scherbak

Easy choice for me(assuming Zadina and Kotkaniemi both hit their potential)

I actually think Kakko can be a center tbh. I got my eyes set on Dach though, kids an animal.

We need Zadina because we’ll be losing Pacioretty, and Gallagher and Lekhonen aren’t strong enough to make up for it.

We need to draft an elite scorer and at the draft because we’re more likely to get a high pick than a top prospect back for Patches.

So I see us drafting Zadina and drafting Kotkaniemi with another 1st.

The discussions with Arizona are simply to gauge options I think.

Unless we’re able to get Kotkaniemi + Domi? That gives us a C and a W. And Domi replaces Patches in the top 6.
 
So, since Brady Tkachuk is taking the college route, won’t there be some hesitation by some teams to take him due to the college free-agency loop-hole?

What a disaster if he didn’t want to play for the Habs, so he just sticks it out for one year at Boston.

That's what I'm sayin' meng. Our worst case regret is seeing Kotkaniemi become the next Kopitar. We should eliminate it by selecting him.
