He'll probably be eased in as the 7th D over the course of this series, then we'll see if he can grab a top 6 spot from Själin or not, probably need Själin to have a couple obviously bad games in a row though given what i know about Swedish coaches.

A busy day for the Luleå fans today. Both the SHL and J20 team are playing. The J20 team plays in the deciding game of a best-of-3, while the SHL team plays in game 2 after winning the first game against Växjo.

Nils Lundkvist will play with the J20 team today, he already has 1 primary assist, and could potentially join the senior team for Tuesday's game 3 in the SHL play offs

J20 team lost 5-1 and they are eliminated. Season over in SuperElit. That leaves the SHL team for Nisse. I really hope he is back in the line up on Tuesday

Sorry. Nisse is a Swedish nickname for Nils, like Sasha for Alexander in Russian.

FYI: Former Rangers prospect Robin Kovacs with 2 goals today
Yeah. Forgot Google was a thing. Figured I'd spend the three seconds to look it up then delete before you saw it.

But no...you caught it first :P

I should know as my great-grandpa was named Nils.

Kovacs has found another gear he does what ever he wants pretty much.

A guy you guys should take a look at again.

I think Kovac benefits from playing in a country that doesn't hand out prison sentences too easily. Big risk he gets double digits behind bars if he spends any longer period of time in the US.

Feel like he should be in jail, based on what I've read. At a minimum he should be suspended from play. He's going to kill someone--directly.

Anyway, I'm about 99.9% sure he's done with us and probably with hockey in North America.

In Europe there is a different culture when it comes to sports. Athletes aren't suspended for stuff that happens in their personal life. If they are sentenced, they will not play and the team can terminate their contracts, but they won't be suspended.

The senior team beats Växjo 5-4 in overtime and they take a 2-0 lead in the series!

Game 3 on Tuesday with hopefully Lundkvist in the line up
