Hearing good things about Miller and Kravtsov so that’s encouraging

Some people crapping on Lundqvist cause he had some games at F? Wasn’t Miller a F?

Just means they are versitaile talented guys

The people complaining about Lundkvist don't look at the whole picture. Being used as a forward because of a wave of injuries isn't a negative. And it was only 2 games. The same about his "demotion" to J20 which wasn't a demotion at all, if you look a bit further

Why research things when you can make generalizations with surface stats and news? ;)

Lundkvist seems to be doing pretty well to me. I wasn't expecting he was going to put up tons and tons of points this year. The SHL is one of the the best leagues in the world. That he is in the regular rotation--that he is putting up some offense doing that as an 18 year old is pretty damned good IMO. Hopefully he'll make the WJC team. He needs to grow and get stronger. I would say the same for Joey Keane but Lundkvist is facing better competition. I have hopes for Ragnarsson too. Between Miller, Lundkvist, Keane and Ragnarsson we might have a killer draft just on D--add Kravtsov to the mix---if 3, 4 or all 5 of them pan out that's a grand slam.

I know it's early, but the 2018 draft has the potential to be our best draft in decades

FWIW our 2017 looks pretty good too. Chytil and Andersson I expect both to turn into very good top 6 players. I think Chytil has the potential to become a legit 1st line player. I'd tag Andersson more as a 2nd liner but one with numerous intangibles. Clutch, goal scorer, face-off guy, penalty killer--power play, last minute of a close game guy, someone who wears a letter maybe even the C. In Hartford he plays all situations and he's motivated to win.

Three other guys who could do something---Crawley all of a sudden putting up offense. He's got pretty good size and a edgy antagonizing streak and he skates pretty well. He's a jerk to play against. I like players like that or at least when they're on my team. Morgan Barron---intrigued by him too. I expect he'll become a very important player for Cornell this year. Big winger who goes hard to the net and not afraid to throw his weight around. Virta--a little older--doing fairly well in the KHL. He's a bit undersized so I wonder and if he ever makes it to New York I'm not sure it will be as a center.

Best aspect of Miller’s growth is that he is not turning the puck over. That was the big knock against him last year.
That and his defensive positioning.

If he improves his defensive zone reads and can cut back on the turnovers, we have ourselves a stud here. He's already shown that he isn't afraid to join the attack and puts himself into positions to put up points.

Not used to our draft picks exceeding expectations like this. At best they meet them, so it’s refreshing to see it with last year’s draft class.

I think it's a given he makes the WJC team. It was kinda unknown since he left the summer showcase due to illness, but he's been a massive force this year!!
