Friedman had the story in on of his 31 thoughts columns in October, if I remember it right, the Rangers had been keeping an eye on him since he was like 15 or so, and he was pretty short and slight and they looked into his family to get an idea of what type of body he'd end up growing into, his mom was 5'11", and his dad and brother were both like 6'4"/5" and all had been professional athletes I think
24. I’m really interested in the physical research teams do with their draft picks. In the summer of 2015, Chytil was five-foot-eight, playing in a Czech league labelled similar to Junior B. The Rangers looked at the genes around him. His mother is five-foot-10 and a good athlete. His father is six-foot-four, also very active. His brother, who is 20, is six-foot-five soccer goalkeeper. Now, Filip is listed as six-foot-two, with the possibility of adding a little more. It really helped that he jumped from his previous stop into the Czech Elite League, where he played very well. But it’s clear the Rangers invested a lot of time in making the best possible projection of his growth. Very intriguing prospect.
Looks like Montreal is getting Andrei Svechnikov?
There's a few different ones but I'm arguing that trading up, statistically, is an awful idea. What are you guys even arguing about?![]()

Let's hypothetically say, Brady gets taken in the top 3, and say Zadina falls to 4, and Ottawa is willing to trade back you wouldn't entertain it?There's a few different ones but I'm arguing that trading up, statistically, is an awful idea.
Have you found any examples in the 1st round?
No.Let's hypothetically say, Brady gets taken in the top 3, and say Zadina falls to 4, and Ottawa is willing to trade back you wouldn't entertain it?
Montreal getting the third makes this tolerable. Anything else will make me want to commit a felony.

Honestly, I'll be more pissed if Canes get the 1st....we don't need to watch a Franchise player get rewarded to a garbage team with no fan base. Rather the Habs got him
