That long pass accuracy is hurt in Onana's case by the fact that United have no aerial power to fight for those type of passes, so they're almost automatical losses.

Not that Onana hasn't had some really, really awful moments, but comparing keepers in stats like raw number of saves made, total passes completed, etc. is maybe the single worst way to learn anything about them.

Onana finished last season bad after having a good start to the year. This year though, he has been consistently horrible, though the entire team has. Even Mainoo looks very meh and he's supremely talented.

He's right around middle of the pack for post shot xg +/- although I think that does oversell him a little given that post shot xg also includes the position of the keeper and that's led to several goals that should have been stopped (or shots that never should have happened).

Ederson is an objectively bad/mediocre goalie, but an elite sweeper keeper. But Ederson historically hasn't looked bad because he can do all his ball playing and sweeping with all the margin for error because City dominate on such a consistent basis that Ederson doesn't need to be relied upon. Onana is a very similar goalie except he plays on a teams that's shitty so his margin for error is way smaller and makes him look worse than he probably is. Onana at Inter looked great for those same reasons. I really think Onana would be doing better or at least seem like he was doing better at club that was actually decent instead of the shit show he's currently at.

My favorite though was Slot at the press conference yesterday when he said we should take it easy on Michael Oliver because he has been in the news a lot recently; which is undisputedly a better burn.

The only time I really got up my own ass about a coach whining was when I gave a tech to this dude and told him he had to sit down the rest of the game. Then dude pulled his chair off the bench and put it at the three point line and sat down. I think you can figure out what happened next

I checked to make sure none of my bosses were there, and I did lose my cool and I threw the chair after he got up. I wish I hit him with it though.
