Honestly, the reason they probably don't show it is because A) They only draw 1 to 3, so it would be an incredibly short program and B) with all the auditing that E&Y does at every step, it would be boring TV.
Drawing the regular lottery ticket winner is just one winning combination that DOESN'T need to be checked off right then and there. Either someone out in the world has it, or they don't and then there is another drawing in a week or so.
It's different then the Powerball or anything like that.

Personally, I’m kinda excited the Canes are getting a high pick and, for their sake, honestly don’t want them picking 1st. That’d be like the year the Oilers, who already had Hall, RNH, Eberle and no defensemen in the pipeline, getting 1st overall when Yakupov was clearly the 1st pick. Tough spot to have your team be better served trading out of the 1st slot.
