I think we all had to know that when Pastrnak & Krejci were added to the team, that the rookies, including Chytil would become a spare.

Yeah, that was certainly the most likely result, and it may be the right decision, but in the previous games, I feel that he could of been utilized better and given more of a chance to prove his worth.

Chytil is 18 and though he's shown a ton of promise in the NA game I'm not super surprised at the national level they're not giving him much of a chance yet. It's very much "he'll have plenty of time to contribute in the futuer"

McAvoy is going to play for the USA. Pionk is right now the 3RD, but he's outplaying Jensen and Murphy. Lets see how Blashill deals with this. Is he going to play the veteran plug and his own player over Pionk? I think Blashill is a bad coach, and I expect him to do this. Hopefully I'm proven wrong.

Pionk has been the best defenseman for the United States. And that should not be surprising. He has the speed and the smarts to take advantage of the bigger ice surface. A good coach would recognise this and make the most of it. If not by giving more PP time then adding favourable 5v5 match-ups.

That and he is completely tired - his legs were barely moving the last couple of games. Him sitting actually plays to our advantage. Additionally, people should not take his performance at international tourneys too seriously.

He is 9 months younger than Necas and has played 72 games vs 37 by Necas.

Yes, that is almost twice as much. In considerably higher competition most of the time. (And Andersson has been similarly very tired.)

I've seen the same. It's really not that important. It's not anything that matters towards our hockey team. But I feel like the player has earned a bigger role. And it's especially annoying to see one of our players being held back by bad coaching from a rival head coach.

Damn, I didn't realize the disparity was that large.
