Yeah, I had a weeks long argument with one guy that wanted to sign him to a big deal to play with Karlsson

Anyone we should be targeting with Pittsburgh's 1st?

Also, for those who have studied the draft more than me, is there a possibility the team looks to trade down from Pittsburgh's pick and re-coup a 2nd and 3rd? I have no idea where the drop-off is this year, but I love the idea of moving back into the 2nd if it means adding more draft picks. We have a great track record in the middle rounds lately and would love to give our scouts more ammo.

ehh this isn't the nfl.. that strategy just doesn't bring as much added value. I wouldn't think. pick high as often as you can in the nhl

I am assuming a pick below 26 and would like Merkley or Woo if one is available to bolster the RD position. At forward Barrett Hayton, Akil Thomas, Jacob Olofsson all C's.

It would be skilled for sure,but worry it would be too much of the same style of defender....Gettting another heavy shutdown style defenseman..Would add better balance to the unit as a whole...Also this team badly needs more skill up front,moreso even than adding another offensive style defender

Tough to tell where our pick will fall - certainly between 22-31.

Woo (D), Bokk (W), Olofsson (C) and Alexeyev (D) are all guys I would look at in that range. Woo and Bokk are more likely than not to be gone by the time our pick rolls around, though.

I'm probably going to be at every Moose-Islanders game, hopefully Zadina/McIsaac have good series.

And Budgell/Parent/Lavoie for high picks next year will be fun to watch.

Is anyone else afraid that if the Sens stay at #2, that Dorion will draft Boqvist and use the rational that he was the 2nd BPA even though we know it would be to replace Karlsson at some point...... If we don't get one Dahlin, Svech or Zadina I will be pissed.
