Been a while since they changed the rules.

Now if a team wins the lottery they get to first overall right? Repeat for 2nd and 3rd overall?

With our luck, there is no way we don't get pushed back due to some insane luck a team further up will have.

Has anyone seen much of Joseph Veleno? Was just looking at some rankings and his numbers kinda popped out at me.

Isn't that the QMJHLer who started a year early as a 'exceptional status' player? With 3 years in the Q already, I kinda wonder how much space is left for growth in his game?

You know why I hate our management? Because there is absolutely zero chance we're gonna pick a guy like Kravstov with our 2nd first.

Wahlstrom is ahead of Zadina already in my books. He is the guy I would want if we pick top3-5.

I'll be interested to see if him being committed to Harvard is going to have an effect on where he goes in the draft. I think most kids who get in Harvard would want to complete their education before going pro meaning he won't be on the team for a while.

Last year's U18 worlds ... Wahlstrom was there as a 16 year old... Looking forward to this year's tournament

If the Sens don't get a top 3 .. this guy would be a great pick imo. He may even give Zadina some competition at 3.

Something about him I just don’t love. He does things slow.

Third best forward in my eyes. Right being Svechnikov and Whalstrom. He’s putting up numbers in a men’s league and his skill level is through the roof.

Could the Sens trade their first round pick this year? Or must they give it up to Colorado? Just wondering if the Sens end up with the 5th pick (or worse) could they move back if another team was interested.

Sens can do what they want with the pick this year as long as they give up next years pick.

Svechnikov with our 1st pick and a guy like Sandin or Woo with our 2nd 1st would be a good draft for me.

The way I read it, if we finish second last, we can't draft worse than 5th, but only 39% we pick in the top 3. Is that about right?

We get Dahlin or Svechnikov, retain Karlsson and we're guarenteed to be a premiere team in the NHL.

Even Dorion couldn't **** that up... could he?

Yea, having:

Chabot-Karlsson
XXXX-Dahlin
Woalanin-Ceci

would be a top 5 defense in the NHL next year, imo.

alternatively,

Hoffman-Duchene-Svechnikov
Dzingel-XXXX-Stone

could yield one of the best winger groups in the NHL. Although id much rather trade Dzingel/Hoffman for a more all-around player.

Top 5 in excitement I'd agree with but overall I'd say no. Also probably unlikely that all of Boro, Harpur, and Claesson don't draw in somewhere next year.

Only problem with getting Dahlin is its an excuse to trade Karlsson. However both of them on the dame team would be ideal.
