HAve always respected him. He's got a great view of the game and players love playing for him. But what he did to the Isles this year is amazing . Last year, worst defensive team in the NHL, this year best defensive team. From 31 to 1, the broadcasters said today it's been 100 years since that feat occurred.\

Eberle has been very good

And major props to Anders Lee for shutting down Sid.

Mitch Korn deserves credit here as well for turning them of Lehner and Griess into a legit goalie tandem.

Real happy for Lehner. He’s obviously battled through some serious adversity to get to this point.

Props to Lane Lambert too. Somebody should be giving him as shot as a HC.

There is a reason you very rarely see hits like that happen. It's dangerous, as Avery said it's kind of an unwritten rule that the players follow. You can be seriously injured hitting that, even with the padding on it.

And I've never understood the "It's the playoffs" logic to defend dangerous plays.
I'm not defending it. I'm saying that it's the playoffs is the reason why that hit probably occurred in the first place. And I dont buy Averys take for an instant. When did he ever follow unwritten rules?

He should be, he is alot like Trotz and would be good behind the bench

I think the series is a fair suspension, but I think it overshadowed what a dirty play it was by Debrusk on Marleau. That is an extremely dangerous play and he knew exactly what he was doing, that was clearly intent to injure, there was zero respect shown to one of the more respected guys in the entire league. I don't normally agree with what Sean Avery has to say but I think he was spot on in this instance. But then again this is Louie DeBrusk's kid, so the apple clearly hasn't fallen far from the tree.

DeBrusk also delivered a pretty solid elbow to Dermott earlier in the game that left his nose bloodied.

Hedman also out tonight for the Lightning. Coburn draws in

Savard our for Cbus. He was good the first two games so it’s a key loss for them on the back end.

Looks like Clendening is in.

Avery needs to shut up and go away.Never liked the guy even on the Kings.I saw him as a dirty cheap childish type player.

How do you fix Tampa if they don't win this year? They have no weakness. Or just run the same team back again since the playoffs are unpredictable anyways?

He got run over by Jenner.

Cbus continuing to turn the screws as they lead 1-0 on a nice backhand goal by Duchene.

Something we talked about before , that for all their high end talent, the Bolts don't have any sandpaper. They need a few players with a good set of fangs who how to win and what it takes. Also, their 'stars' Stamkos and Kucherov, no shows so far in this series, and last year, in game 6 and 7 vs the Caps, they had no points. That is telling.

Jackets are playing great, riding a wave that if could take them to the finals.

Their Achilles heel is that they have no sandpaper, they need players with fangs who know how to win and play with an edge. That at the fact that Stamkos and Kucherov, no shows so far in this series, also had no points in games 6,7 vs the Caps last year. Where is the leadership?

If they have no weakness, they wouldn't be down 2-0 in Game 3 when they are down 2-0 in the series.

The biggest question mark of Tampa Bay, if they're paper tigers, is definitely being asked by a lot of people. The President's trophy winner should not have 1 good period out of 8 so far.

They are showing mental weakness and a lack of toughness as Dee touched upon.

Doesn’t help that Hedman is dinged up, he missed some time during the second half of the regular season and you have to wonder if it’s lingering which is hampering him/his play.

Point has been very quiet as well.
